Penninkmeijer - November 2021

Last update/Next update

The Penninkmeijer Family
Frederik is 66, Bianca is 61, Dirk is 33, Catherine is 33, Morgan is 15 and Elisabeth and Margaret are 10 months old
(Jack Penninkmeijer and Lawrence Warner are 26, Kenneth Warner and Dennis Heaven are 25, Johanna Penninkmeijer is 23, Gabriƫlle and Laura Penninkmeijer are 19, Benny Min and Lars Mertens are 16, Marlys Zanobi is 13 and Julie Warner is 1)
Narrated by Morgan

Some months ago Lawrence and Kenneth applied for adoption, thinking it would take some time before everything was in order. It did some time but not as long as they expected. They were approved pretty fast, and somewhere last month they were given of little Julie.
Mom gave them exactly 2 weeks to get used to having a child in the house before she went over there to meet her newest grandchild. When I hear her talk about Julie I'm pretty sure she's a cute kid.
Mom is so happy to be grandmother once again, and she's thrilled for Lawrence and Kenneth to have such a sweet kid. I know she's dying for some one else to give her some more grandchildren, soon!
Dad always acts like he doesn't care that much, but I'm sure he's pretty proud to be a granddad.
At home, he's always cooing, and talking silly to Margareth and Elisbeth. I keep wondering if he ever did that with any one of us.
Whenever Dirk and Cathering are at work, mom and dad take care of Elisabeth and Margaret, and mom just loves it. She already told Lawrence he can bring Julie over whenever he's back at work.
I'm pretty sure she would have loved it if Cahterine and Dirk worked a little bit longer, so she could take care of the twins a little bit longer.
But when they get home from their work, they take over the care of their twins.
Dirk and Catherine love spending time with their daughters as well, and when they put them down for the night, they ussually spend some time in the nursery with each other, watching their kids sleep.
It's all babies all the time in this house. Even Jack is all over the twins whenever he and Jo come to visit, and I never thought he would be.
Mom keeps asking Jack when he will start with kids, and he keeps pretty vague about it, like he and Jo don't have a clue about that. I'm sure they have it all planned out though.
I don't think mom will have to wait long before she'll become a grandmother again. I share a bathroom with Catherine and Dirk, and the last couple of weeks I heard her throw up every morning. I still remember it from when she was pregnant with the twins.
My presumption was confirmed when I heard Cathering tell mom that she and Dirk were expecting again. I couldn't see mom's face but from the screams I've heard I'm sure she was thrilled with the news.
At the moment mom can't nag Laura and Gabriƫlle about having children. Personally I think 19 is too young to think about kids anyway, but who am I? I'm sure moment won't wait long, especially not now that she's met Laura's boyfriend Dennis.
I really don't know how the boy survived that fist evening with our large, loud family, I hardly survive it, and I'm used to them, but Denning got home in one piece, and according to Laura he quite liked our family.
I try to get out as much as I can, sometime a crowded arcade is less noisy than my home. After school I ussually meet up with Lars to go and play some pool.
Sometimes Benny comes along. In 2 years Benny and Lars will be going to college, last month Benny went on a tour of college, and he can't stop talking about it. It's nice to hear him talk with so much pasion, but it can be a little bit boring at times.
My weekends I ussually spend with Marlys, who's never boring. Whenever Lars knows I'm meeting Marlys he invites himself to come along, which is pretty annoying.
I ussually focus on Marlys and ignore Lars, which I know isn't polite, but inviting yourself over isn't either.
Marlys is a lot of fun, I don't know many girls who would love to go ice skating when it's raining, but she doesn't seem to mind.
Marlys is only 13, so her parents don't allow her to go out at night, so we meet during the day. This can be a little bit tricky when I want to kiss her, but her parents can't know. We ussually find a way though.

Extra:
A close-up from Julie, which is also her profilepic. She's a cute kids :)

Notes:
  • I know what I said about Lawrence and Kenneth's adoption, but I couldn't wait, and started rolling for them, and this month they were lucky, and Julie was added to their family. Julie is 18months old, her brithday is in May, which makes her 7 months older than Margaret and Elisabeth.
  • I didn't put Catherine back on birth control, because I wanted them to have another child. It would have been nice if they would have waited a little bit longer, but it's ok now as well. Baby #3 will be welcomed next August, when the twins are 18 months. I think they will stop after this one though, Cahterine's IFS is 4, and Dirk's 3...
  • 6 kids is a lot to handle when they are all moving out, and you want to keep in touch with them all. It's going to be even harder when they all start having kids themselfs, but I'm secretly looking forward to that.
  • It seems like none of my teens roll any romantic wants, and I really don't like that. Morgan and Marlys have 3 blots, so it would be nice if they rolled any wants, but nope. I did let them flirt and kiss, only the "safe" kisses, she only 13 after all, and they did seem to like it :)

  1. What a nice family. :) I'm catching up on your blog that I've had bookmarked to read for a while now and I think I'm all done now. Thumbs up! :)

I love little Julie, she's adorable.

    1. Thanks you so much for following and welcome to SimsVille :)

Julie really is cutie, though I would have loved it if she's had another haircolor :)

      Thanks for reading!

  2. Aww, I'm glad Lawrence and Jack finally have their child! Julie is a cutie, for sure. I'm glad Catherine and Dirk are having another one too, even if it's sooner than you planned. It's fun having kids close together (as Nick and Sarah are finding out and as Maia and Ethan will find out too).

My teens are not too enthusiastic with romantic wants either, so I guess they're just not generally programmed that way? It's weird, because you'd think they would be. If Morgan and Marlys last until uni, you might find they start rolling more wants for each other.

    1. I'm glad I pulled through with the adoption as well, and I adore Julie! Next time I play them they can enjoy her all the time :)
I'm looking forward to another child for Dirk and Catherine as well. It's going to be hard to have the kids this close in age, but with 2 adults and 2 elders in the house there's always some one to help with the kids :)

That's the reason I didn't break up Matthew and Melina this round, I wanted to check how they would do as 'adult' at uni, we'll find that out next round.
Morgan and Marlys aren't officially dating yet, she's only 13 which seemed like a bit young, but I'm hoping they will be more serious next round :)

      Thanks for reading!

  3. I can't believe Catherine is adding another one!! Wow! That is going to be a crazy household! Julie is really cute, how exciting! And a great age to play with the other kids too. It will be a lot when all the older kids move out on their own, I'm about half way through the McCarthy kids and them moving out, and I agree, it will be lots of work when they are all out of the house. Looking forward to seeing your teens in college! Maybe then they'll be more romantically inclined.

    1. I was hoping Catherine and Dirk would have waited a little bit longer, but on the other had it will be nice for all the kids to grow up together.
I can't wait to age Julie up and see how she will look :)

The hardest part is letting all the siblings and parents keep contact, this is something I've never done before blogging, but you and Carla keep inspiring me to do so :)

      Thanks for reading!
