Mishoen 1 - Fall 2014

Last update/Next update

The Mishoen Family
Goofy is 49, Fen is 52 and Tina is 13 (Laura Penninkmeijer is 12 and Niels Bleek is 14)
Fen: I'm getting a little bit tired of the house, I want to add a pool in the garden, but there is no room, I also want to change some things inside but I don't want to break down walls and stuff. To be honest I want to move, but we don't have enough money to buy or build a house of my taste, and it frustrates me a lot.
To get my mind of the moving-thing, I opened the sports center again, after a really long time. We could have easily lived of Goofy's income, but since I want more, we need this income too. I always loved working here, but since dad died, 14 years ago, it hasn't been the same comming here.
The thing I love most is being the personal trainer, but I thing I'm too hard sometimes. Some sims just can't stand it that you want them to achieve more! Some of them enjoy it when I yell they can do much beter, others finish their session and just go.
Tina has been asking me when she can come too, but she's only 13, I want her to enjoy her teen-years as much as she can!
She has a best friend, Laura Penninkmeijer, they are almost inseperable. Laura spends almost all of her free time over at our house.
They hang out together after school, when they're not going to The Pier.
She eats diner at our place.
And she stays over during most of the weekends. Sometimes it feels like I have 2 daughters instead of just one! I don't mind though, it's always good to have a best friend.
I found out that Tina has a boyfriend. She guaranteed me however that he's not her boyfriend, but just a friend. I'm not the one who can say anything about it, I was just the same at her age, well maybe I was a little bit older.
At least I wasn't 13 when I got my first kiss! I'm starting to feel jealous... and I don't like that at all!
After all I have Goofy to kiss and cuddle with me. But sometimes it doesn't feel like it's enough. Lately I have been thinking about Nio's dad more often, and I have no idea why. He always was a jerk to me, and never looked out for Nio. I need to get him out of my mind.
Speaking of Nio; when he was little we installed this balletbar, and he loved it immidiatly. He even made his hobby into his job, and he's pretty good at it, anyway, recently I have been practicing a little bit, and to be honest I quite like it, I can understand why he loves it so much.
I know Tina has had a hard time since her brother moved out, they were kind of close, and she really misses him around. She chats with him on the internet, but I know she wants him to come over more often.
Nio just doesn't have the time, but it would be great if he would come by. The school talked to Tina about her grades, and she has to do a lot beter if she wants to keep going there. Nio was always the one helping her, and maybe he can talk to her, or help her.
Since I re-opened the sports center, I have been seeing my sister a lot more. It's strange we live next to each other, but we don't visit one another, but she does visit the sports center. Sometimes we just talk, and than she already has to go again. It's nice like this.

Notes:
  • I don't think 13-years old should go to bed together, but I think that a first kiss is allowed, and since Tina is a romance-sim, I figured it would fit her.
  • Laura really does comes by all the time, most of the time Tina doesn't even has to invite her over, she mostly is on the lot already.
  • Nuan, Fen's sister, comes to the sports center a lot, and since they don't have the best relationship, it was a good oppotunity for them to make that beter.

Birthdays - Fall 2014

Another brithday-post, and there are 2 announcements this time!
Ada's pregnancy was rather easy, the only thing going wrong, was her cooking, she always let everything burn.
But this alls went into nothing when she welcommed little Luke Draper into her family. Jason was happy he didn't have to talk to a belly anymore when he wants to talk to his child!
Little Lucas is the joy in his parent's life. He has black hair, like Jasons ancestors, and like Jason other children, Anabel and Anthony, of wich he knows nothing.

At the Roque household, Fran's belly is the confirmation of her pregnancy, a pregnancy wich nobody really expected at this stage in her life. Their baby is due for the spring of 2015.

The first sneak-peek into the new SimsVille

I'm still moving in my sims, and I'm still building all of my community lots, but I just finished the first one, and I'm so proud of it, I though I'd share it with you all.
So let me welcome you the SimsVille's Town Hall!
When you enter, you come in the reception-area. On the right is a waiting-area and the recepiost's deks.
On the left there are the bathrooms, and the snack machinees.
The doors next to the stairs lead the to the chapel.
Where there also is a space to celebrate the wedding.
Upstairs you have a cafetaria.
And a large library.
There is also the room where the governor meet the residents.
With an ensuite office.

Notes:
  • I know it's not much, but I like it, it took me 2 hours to create it, and I hope you like it!
  • I stil don't know if I'm going to have a governor, but if I do, I figured he will need an office. When I deside on having a governor, I think I will let him buy this lot, and hire a receptionist, but we'll see when it comes to that.

A sincere apology!

I want to apologise for the lack of updates and comments and responses to coments lately. Like I've said before I'm finding it harder and harder to find a good balance between simming, blogging, reading, and real life.
It's strange actually, because it all used to go so well, I never had any problems with balance before. Everything used to go so good, and now something is always comming up.
There is some good new however; in a few weeks, I have a week off from work. On the other hand, the weather here in Belgium is getting beter, so maybe I won't be home that much to do some simming.
Sometimes I feel like it's my own fault though, because of all the "projects" I'm working on:
  • I'm currently working on making my flashnote a little bit easier for me to use, a task that is taking up a lot more time than I expected.
  • I'm also working on a new look for my simprofiles, wich I think (and my sister agrees) is looking a lot beter. You can have a preview here, it's not completely finished, and I still have to update all the profiles.
  • After reading this post at LaQuest Beach and the fact that my game is really strange at some times, I thought it was time to reset SimsVille. So currently I'm not really "playing", but moving sims and families and building houses and community lots and decorating the hood.
On top all there "projects" I, of course, have to keep simming, blogging, reading, commenting, and livigin my own life!
So yet again, I'm sorry for the lack of updates, comments, and responses on comments, but bear with me, I still have a few updates ready for publication, and I hope to find a good balance really soon!

Gradonni 1 - Summer 2014

Last update/Next update
The Gradonni Family
Kürt is 54, Debby is 46 and Abby and Annie are 23
(Reinout Krielman is 28 and Erik Tora is 21)
Debby: I love how the house has changed over the years. I mean when you look at it when we first moved here, and now, there's a huge difference. And with that I don't just mean the outside, there are some changes inside too, but I want more.
I'm not going to bug Kürt with it right now, after all it can wait. At the moment I'm mostly enjoying the fact that my girls have moved back home after graduating. They both did so well, wich was to be expected. I know one of them will move out one day, and I'm trying not to think about that too much.
But not thinking about it, doesn't make it much more unreal. They both have been dating for some time now, so the chance that they will stay with us forever is pretty small. Abby's boyfriend, Reinout, is 5 year older then she is, and he already lives on his own, in SimsVille Up Hill, so she's spends a lot of time over there, wich is natural of course, but I like having her at home too.
Annie's boyfriend, Erik, on the other hand is younger and still lives at the dorms. Whenever he gets a free moment, he comes by to hang out with Annie. It's lovely to see them hang out together, but it also makes me realize that my little girls are growing up so fast!
Since they were both spending so much time with their boyfriends, both Kürt and I thought it was time to meet those boys. We invited them both over for a familydinner and we had a nice time. They are good boys, both interested in working in the greenhouse. Reinout went to university to laern more and get a degree, but really wants to work in a garden. Erik has no idea what he wants in life, but he still has a year to think about that.
My girls are prooving the a university-degree isn't always a guarantee for a good job. They are constantly checking the internet to find a job, but never find one.
They keer theirselfs busy in the mean time, and don't seem to be bothered about it too much. They both are a huge help in the garden, looking for the crops, and stuff. They help with the fishing too, we must take advantage of the good weather to do so.
Of course they take time for themself too. They are both taking advatage of the good weather in more then one way. When all the work is done, they take out their towels and go sunbathing.
My work on the other hand, never seems to end. When I'm not in the greenhouse, or fishing, I'm cleaning the house. I refuse to take any outisde help! I wasn't too happy about the gardner we had to hire, but I just can't handle everything on my own. The girls constantly ask if they can help, but I want them to enjoy their young lifes as much as possible.
After all the housework, I still need to prepare all the fish, so Kürt can take it to the shop to sell. Some days I'm cooking untill late at night. Most of the time Kürt just sits with me, and we talk about our day, so I don't mind it that much.
Speaking of Kürt, I know he will never admit it, but I just know he missed the girls as much as I did, and he's just as happy to have them back home! He enjoys them more now they are adults, and has all sorts of conversations with them.
I find him outside the greenhouse much more since they moved back home. I catch him just sitting around much more too. I don't know if it's because he will be 55 next year, and wants to enjoy life a lot more, or because he thinks that he missed out on to much.
He even makes time in the middle of the day to have a nice family-lunch, another thing he nevers used to do. I love all these things, family-things.
But I still find it hard to think about the fact that one of my girls will move out one day! It's strange but we recently sold one of the kittens, and that made me think about it even more. Ah well, we'll see what life will bring!
Notes:
  • It seems like my posts are getting longer, yet again, Debby had so much to tell, and I couldn't stop writing.
  • Emma Mikkels (of the Zanobi family) had the want to adopt a kitten for ages, and since this family has had kittens, it seemed like the perfect opportunity.
  • Eik and Reinout will get a profile, as soon as all the changes I have planned are finished. At the moment they are both playable NPC's, so there's no need for one.

Roque 1 - Summer 2014

Last update/Next update

The Roque Family
Gunnar is 53, Frieda is 51, Yuan is 24, Françoise is 19 and Eleanora is 9
Frieda: Yuan, Frans' boyfriend, had a fight with his mother and moved out of their house. To my big surprise, Fran asked him to move in with us. I don't think I would have mind if she would have just asked us if we were fine with it, but she didn't.
So now we are one person extra in the house. I don't know if it was a good idea, I mean she's only 19 years old. I know they have been dating since they were both teens, and they broke up when he became 18, but they have only been together again since a year. I think it's too soon.
What bothers me too, is that they both don't have a job. Fran wants to work in the café with her dad, and Yuan wants something like that too. The thing is that both Gunnar and I had a job when we started with the café, and Gunnar still has that job, just to be safe. I just think they find it easy this way.
They stay in bed untill they want to get up, and when they get up everything is done for them. I know something has got to change, but Gunnar doesn't want me to say anything about it.
It's not that I have a problem with Yuan, we get along really fine. I never thought I would get along this fine with my daughters boyfriend. I hope Fran gets along with his parents as well as I get along with Yuan, but that's hard I think, since Yuan only calls them sometimes, but never invites them over, or visits them.
Fran finally got her way, and goes with Gunnar to help out in the café. I think she's too young and needs to keep all her options open, but she doesn't want to hear about that. We all eat dinner together, and after that they take off.
It gives me some time at home for me. Since Fran and Yuan help Gunnar, there's no need for me to go along. It gives me time to work on the second part of my Franelle-series, and time to think. Since I wait most of the time untill they get home, I have a lot of time.
And there is a lot to think about. Fran has feeling a little bit nauseous lately, and I fear she's pregnant. Well, fear isn't the right word, I would be happy to become a grandmother, I just didn't think to become a grandmother so fast, but with all the time they have spend in their bedroom, there is a huge chance.
It's just too soon! I mean Ellie is only 9! And Fran is only 19!! They have only been back together for a year!

Notes:
  • I didn't put Fran on birth control, because they seemed like the couple to "forget" something like that, and well it worked, their little accident will arrive in the Spring of 2015!
  • Although Frieda is a secondary family-sim, I figured she still wouldn't find it easy if her 19-year old daughter became pregnant.
  • I know Gunnar and Ellie didn't came up a lot, but there really wasn't much to tell; they both are doing fine by the way.
