Lillig 1 - December 2018

The Lillig Family
Berend is 58, Larissa is 60
(Elisa de Leeuw is 23, Harald Jaser is 26 and Madeleine Rai is 20)
Narrated by Larissa

I was happy that Elisa and Harald desided to come to the Ardens for Christmas. It seemed like so long since I saw her, and my little girl is growing up so fast!
Berend's daughter, Madeleine, came too, and I could see that he really enjoyed this time with his daughter. The were talking all the time.
Madeleine and Elisa were already friends when they were teens, so they didn't have to get to know their new sibling when Berend and I got together. I'm glad they are still getting along, I don't think I could have handled them if they weren't.
We took them out to several commutiny spots, just to let them see the area. The boys of course had to have an ax throwing contest, just to prove they were man.
I was so happy to have my daughter with me, that I barely let her off my sight! I don't think she minded though. On one of those moments she told me the she and Harald are engaged, I was so happy for her, but she asked me not to make a fuss about it.
Madeleine on the other hand was trying to get to know the locals a little bit beter. I know Berend really wants his girl to find a nice guy to settle down with, but I don't think she has to find him here.
At cabin the kids had fun as well, Elisa and Harald made  a snowman in the backyard, and they had fun like little children.
On Christmas day I preparde this large turkey, while eveyone was still in bed. When they woke up, late in the morning, there were the gifts, and afterwards it was time for a real Christmas lunch.
It was only too soon the day to say goodbey came, and the kids had to leave again. We promised them to visit them in SimsVille or Simmeria soon. I was glad to see that the snow was gone, it made me feel so much beter to know that the roads would be clear when they drove home.
The kids were only gone for a day, when I heard Berend cough. It was really terrible to hear, I was afraid that I had to take him to the hospital, but he assured me that he was fine.
I didn't belive him, but there wasn't much I could do. He slept a lot during a couple of days, and was beter afterwards.

Notes:
  • They had a Christmas tree! I swear they had one. It stood in the corner, next to the cough! But for some reason, it didn't make it into any of the pictures!
I know there's probably a lot more I could have done for this Christmas, but bear with me, it's only my first one, I'll get beter at it!
  • I really wanted Elisa, Harald and Madeleine here for Christmas, it wasn't the original shedule, but I switched things around a lot, and eventually was able to set the Lillig family in December :)
  • Berend is one of the sims who rolled the flu-ros this round. I don't know why but the I've installed for real sickness doesn't work in my game,my sims are cured very fast!

  1. Very cute family!! I'm glad that everyone was able to get together again. It's great that they all get along so well.
The Christmas wasn't bad, you'll have many others to practice on.;)
Congrats to Elisa and Harald! When do you have a wedding planned?
    Great update!:)

  3. What a lovely Christmas! I didn't notice that the Christmas tree was hiding. ;) It was nice that Berend and Elissa had their kids come up and see them. :D

I'm glad Berend was okay! Are you just lucky with the Realistic Sickness, perhaps? It works the same way as Maxis sickness (Sims get better faster if you keep their comfort and hunger up) but it's just more severe.

  4. It was a really nice Christmas, it's always nice to have family come in. I'm glad Berend recovered! It would be extremely hard on Larissa and the rest of the family. I loved the shot of Elisa and Harald playing in the snow :)

  6. I'm glad he was ok! Some of mine get better quickly too, like Carla said with the comfort/hunger up, they'll get better.

It was a nice Christmas, I too, didn't realize there wasn't a tree in the photos. Seemed like holiday time to me, and it's great that the kids could come in for the visit.

  7. Thanks for reading everyone!
And I'm sorry for the lack of replies to your comments lately, I'll do my best to avoid it in the future!

coolkat2 I keep telling myself I get better at the Christmasses, and eventually I will get better :)
I just made my schedule for the next round and their wedding is planned for August 2020.

Diana P. Berend got the flu thanks to ROS, he's cured now :)

Carla I'm glad the hiding Christmas tree wasn't noticable :) I really wanted them have Christmas with the kids, and I had fun playing them as well :)
I'm hoping I'm just lucky with the Realistic Sickness.

Mizzgin03 I liked the Christmas too, too bad about the tree though :)
I loved that shot too, I always love it when my sims act like children :)

Shana It was a nice family to play and I'm glad Berend recovered as well.

maisie I thought it would be harder to get them cured with the Realistic Sickness, but if it's just the hunger/comfort thing, it's kind of good, because I mostly manage to keep those high.
I'm glad the tree wasn't noticable. I only noticed it when writing the update :) (as always)
I'm hoping I can do these kind of visits more often, it was fun.
