The Zang Family
(Quan Min is 54, Chu Min is 53, Jack Penninkmeijer is 29, Johanna Penninkmeijer is 26, Benny Min is 19 and Eli Penninkmeijer is 2)
Narrated by Anna
I still can't believe that I'm a mother of 3! If some one told me this years ago, married and mother of 3 by the age of 25, I don't think I would have thought they were talking about me.
I still think it's pretty amazing that I'm happy when waiting for Dean to finish when he's on the potty, but I feel quite satisfied when he is finished.
Alex and Carl are now both in school. Even though they are only 1 year apart, Carl looks up to his brother, and copies him in almost everything. At the moment Alex isn't bothered by it, and it's funny to watch.
Most of the time they keep each other busy, but when it comes to homework they need one of the adults to help them.
I know Bai loves his boys, and that he's very proud of them. At the moment we try to learn Dean to walk. It's taking some time, but we've thaught to others, so w'ere sure we can teach him as well.
As much as Bai loves the boys, I know for him his family isn't complete untill Bethany is here as well. He makes it point to have at least one breakfast with his kids, which isn't easy with his hours.
Even though there's an age gap between Bethany and the boys, they get along pretty well. They love it when she's over, and she likes spending time with them.
Wang and Chao love their grandchildren, and we are so lucky to live with them, so there is always some one to watch the kids.
I'm really glad they haven't asked us about any more grandchildren, I think they are pretty happy with the ones they've got, but I wouldn't want to disappoint them when I say there probably won't be any more.
The boys are pretty busy, so the moments they are in school and taking a nap, are quiet moments in our house. Quiet moments that are spend with some time to ourselfs.
And I know Chao and Wang sneak away sometimes when they are both at home.
Who can blame them with 3 busy boys in the house? Bai and I can really enjoy those quiet moments in bed, before everything gets hectic again.
I like working at the Book Corner. It can get quite busy sometimes, especially when collegeclasses are starting again, but somehow it never seems as busy as being at home.
The store is going graet. I even get customers from SimsVille who come downtown just to visit my store.
On my day off I try to get Dean out of the house. I think it's important he meets with other toddlers, and Jo's son, Eli, is only 1 year older, so I try to meet up with Jo quite often.
When the boys aren't too tired we even take them out for a lunch. Dean and Eli are pretty well behaved, most of the time, so it's not much trouble.
I like spending time with Jo, but with 2 toddlers around it's not always that easy to catch up. So once a month we try to go out, just the 2 of us, or with Bai and Jack.
It's nice that Bai and Jack get along, seeing Jo and I are pretty close. They will never be best friends, but it's nice knowing they won't kill each other when they meet.
Earlier this month mom and dad asked Billy and me to visit them, they had something they wanted to tell us. I thought it was about their new dog, Dollar, who's a cutie.
But I was in for a surprise; they announced that they applied for adoption. They have been toying with the idea of giving a needing kid a new home for some time now, and eventually tied the knot.
They already went through some of the proces, but it was possible they also wanted to talk to us. It really was a surprise for Benny and me, but it's nice. Now we'll have to wait to meet our new brother or sister, which is going to be strange at the same time.

Notes:
- First of all a very belated Merry Christmas! I hope every one had a nice time.
- Even though this is a very hectic household to play, it's not a very intersting update. Chao and Wang yet again don't make much of an appearance in this one, but they were there, I promisse you. I hope to get some more interesting updates out of this household once the boys, or Bethany become teens.
- Quan Min rolled the ROS: 'Share the love: adopt a baby' - which I really didn't think fit this family at all, if anything I would see them as the kind of couple to be 'glad' when the kids finally moved out, but ROS decided otherwise. It kind of suits Chu's status, wanting to be in the hood council, and this may be good for her votes (which reminds me that I really need to do something about that page). We'll see more of them in their update.
Don't say that wasn't an interesting update - there was plenty to look at and to read :-)
ReplyDeleteLike the two boys who are one year apart and the younger looks up to his brother, it was the same for me with my sister. She is 1 year older than I, and when we were kids, I really looked up to her and wanted her approval in everything.
Love the oval easel!
A belated Merry Christmas to you, too, and all the best for 2014 :-)
Librarian Thank you! I just didn't do a lot with them, and that makes it harder to write an interesting update :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you still liked the update.
Thanks for reading!
Happy New Year, Tanja! :)
ReplyDeleteI love The Book Corner so much - it might even be one of my favourite community lots of yours, from what I've seen.
It looks like Anna does really well as a mother, seeing she came into it at such a young age. They're clearly a very happy family. And she can still make time for herself and her career as well, which is great.
Wow, what a surprise that ROS is for Chu and Quan. I have to admit, I didn't see them adopting either but sims (not to mention ROS!) surprise you sometimes! I look forward to seeing how the new little one fits in with this family.
Carla Happy New Year to you too :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, I like The Book Corner quite a lot myself. It's always nice to hear that some one else likes your lots as well :)
I think maybe Anna was a bit too young when she became a mother, but I agree with you it might have done her good, and she's doing really well.
It may be strange to say, but I'm glad I wasn't the only one not expecting this from Quan and Chu :) They've raised Anna and Benny pretty well, so I'm sure they'll do well.
It was just so unexpected, thank you ROS for that :)
Thanks for reading!
