At this moment,
Catherine Penningmeijer isn't too happy being pregnant. She's been put in bedrest by her doctor, and it's hell for the workaholic she is. She's having a hard time not being able to do anything. She's been in charge of preparing the nursery, though she wasn't allowed to actually do anything, and that's finished now.
There really isn't much to do anymore now, and she really is counting down the days untill the babies are born, and she really isn't the only one. This are the first grandchildren to her parents, and
her mother has been giving 'advice' non-stop.
Dirk and Catherine are just trying to enjoy the pregnancy despite the difficulties at the moment.
Dirk tries to be there as much as he can for his wife, but he's allowed to go to work, so he can't be there all the time. They are still happy with every moment they can spend together though.
Notes:
- There really weren't any problems with Catherine's pregnancy, but carrying twins can reslut in having to stay in bed the last couple of months. I thought it added a little bit of realism as well :)
- Since Catherine really is a workaholic, that's one the trait I've given her, bedrest is very hard on her. I don't see her staying in the the entire time.
- About her babybump, I didn't get her to the 3rd trimester, I tryed several times, but the bump never got bigger...
Poor Catherine! Maybe she could have some friends or relatives over to help her pass the time - she must be bored out of her mind at home!

ReplyDeleteThankfully they live with her parents, and her mom is a housewife, and her dad is retires, so there's always some one to talk to, but I think she's going to be happy when the babies finally arrive :)

It's nice that she lives with her parents so she has someone to talk too. I dislike playing bored pregnant sims. All they do is eat and sleep.
ReplyDeleteIf the sim doesn't live with family I normally have them invite family or friends over everyday to pass the time.
What a bummer for Catherine to be stuck sitting around with no one to talk with. I agree it adds realism. I consider inducing Annie a month early with her twins but then she wouldn't have them in an off month and I really want to try this birth month gig. Have you decided anything with that for yourself?

For the moment I'm going to stick with the system I have at the moment. I still like it this way :)
