Savage - April 2025

Melissa's last update/Jason's last update/Wedding/Next update

The Savage Family
Jason is 26, Margot is 24 and Vincent is 4 months old
(Ludo Mertens is 60, Mia Mertens is 56, Dominic Vega is 27, Mario Burie is 26 and Melissa Mertens and Belinda Steven are 24)
Narrated by Jason
Having Vincent around have been wonderfull. He really is the joy of our lives.
Margot started working again this month, after 4 months of maternity leave, and she finds it a little bit had leaving Vincent behind.
When she's home she tries to spend all her time with him, because she feels she misses out on a lot of things when she's working.
And when I'm alone with Vincent, Margot calls quite a lot to check how we're doing. I do understand where she's coming from. She's been home with him for 4 months, and now she has to let it go a bit.
But I sure know how to take care of my son, and if I don't know I'll always call her, or her parents to give me advice and tips.
I know she wants to stay at home with Vincent, and we have talked about it, but it's just not doable at the moment. We both want more kids, and we also want our own place one day.
She did agree to relax a little bit more, and try and trust other people with Vincent as well.
I thought it would be nice for Margot to have something else to look after, and I know she always wanted a dog, so  got her one.
She was a bit hesitant at first, but it didn't take too long for Dino to win over her heart, and she really seems a little bit more relaxed now.
Margot's parents come by quite a lot to see their only grandchild. They simply love the kid.
I know they both can't wait to have more grandchildren some day, but at the same time they seem more than happy to be able to focus all their enery on Vincent at the moment.
I don't think they'll have to wait that long to get more, but at the moment we're trying to enjoy Vincent as much as we can, before adding another one.
I find it harder to get together with friends now that we have Vincent. But we have a nice bunch of friands, and they come by occasionally, so we don't have to miss out on a lot.
Margot is hoping that one of them will announce they're expecting, so Vincent will have playmate aomng our friends, but I doubt that will happen any time soon.
Margot's sister and friend, both love Vincent, but I think they are more than happy they can give him back to her when he's crying or going through a difficult period.
Whenever the guys go out, Melissa and Belinda stick around with Margot, to have a girl's night in.
We don't do anything wild or so, we all have busy jobs, but we like to go bowling, and we try to do that about once a month.
Most of the time we get sick of bowling after a few games, and we end the night at the bar. I know it's not much, but I like those outings.
I'm very happy with my family though, and I can't wait to expand it a little bit more, but that doesn't have to be too fast.

Extra:
I did somehting with their garden this session, and I was really looking forward to them spending some time there.
But every time I hope something like that, the game gives me nothing but pouring rain! So no garden time for Margot and Jason.

Notes:
  • So far neither of them rolled the want yet to have another baby, so they're not having another at the moment. I do expect at least one of them to roll it when I age Vincent to toddler, and I don't know if I'll let them have one that soon, we'll see when it comes to that.
  • None of their friends rolled the want yet either to have a baby, get engaged or married, but it's possible that next round I'll decide for them, we'll see about that as well when I get to it.
  • I like their house quite a lot, but it's a rental, and I see them more as the couple to want own their house, so some day soon they'll move, but I think I'll keep them in SimsVille, they also seem like the kind of couple to not want to live in the 'city'.
  • I have to get around to writing a little bit more! I have about 12 updates ready to be written, and I hope to play some more this weekend, so it will be even more by the end of it, but I never get around to actually write! I do hope to do something like that this weekend as well.

  1. Their house is very nice, it has such a "spring" feel to it with the light green colour scheme. I love the last picture of the story, with the little one looking at his parents as they are hugging :-)
The garden looks nice, too; it's a shame the weather wasn't good for spending time there as a family, but such is life :-)

  2. They make a cute little family and I think the house looks great.

Wow you are way ahead in your playing! One of my goals is to have a bunch of updates ready to go but so far that hasn't happened. Curse you, real life for getting in the way of my play time!

  3. That's a gorgeous garden! It always seems to rain in my game when my sims want to hang out outside too. Sometimes I cheat and stop it with SW's weather controller, I have to admit!

Maybe if they both keep working hard, Margot will be able to stay home a little longer with their next child. I think they're smart to prioritise getting their own place over her staying at home. They'll definitely need all the money they can get if they want to buy a house.

It's awesome that they can still get together with their friends too. Almost all my friends have kids now and it's much harder for them to hang out now than it was pre-kids but it's important to fit in time for yourself as well, so I'm glad Jason and Margot have this nice balance.

  4. Librrian I like the house as well. They ran out of money, so the finishing touches aren't there yet, those touches that make the house feel more like a home, but I'm sure they'll get there soon.
It's like Vincent is keeping a close eye on his parents, in that pictures.
My game always does that, in the middle of the summer I send my sims to the beach, and it rains for hours!

    Thanks for reading!

Ashaland Sims I like them both, the house and the family.

I try to make sure that I'm always ahead, but I never seem to be able to get my writing done. It's like you said 'curse you, real life!'

    Thanks for reading!

Carla It's just one part of the garden, the other part is pretty bare at the moment, but I like this part so far.
I sometimes cheat too when it comes to the weather, stupid game :)

I just thought of another plan, for their livingsituation, but we'll see more about that next time. Margot can't stay home at the moment anyway, and I don't know when she will be able to. I hope that one she'll be able to though.

Some of my friends have kids too, and it's harder to meet with them. But it's like you said, it's important to make time for those things.

    Thanks for reading!

  5. I love the shot of them on the grass and the new garden looks very nice. I could see them with more children but I love how they're focusing on their little on at the moment

  6. They have a very lovely home, I was surprised it was a rental. I can see them wanting a place of their own, though it looks like they have plenty of room already. The dinner with friends was nice, and I hope that we can see more couples settling down, and their kids playing together soon. I'm glad they are waiting a bit before adding a second, give their friends time to catch up.

  7. I don't know if I've ever commented, but I've been enjoying your blog for some time. Lovely home for the Savages. I really like the yard in the back too. Hope they get their wish to have at least one of the couples in their circle of friends have a baby for Vincent to grow up with, but of course our sims have other plans.

  8. Apple Valley I like seeing dad with the kids in general, and loved the shot of Jason and Vincent in the garden as well. I could see these 2 with more kids as well, but not just now. Not every one wants their kids very close in age!

    Thanks for reading!

Maisie It's a rental, a very spacious one, with 3 bedrooms, large livingroom and kitchen and a good sized garden. I have another one like it on the same lot :)
I'm still not sure what I'll do with them, I have another option in my mind for them, you'll get to know more about it next round :)
I really hope the other couples get some kids too - but not too soon since I'm really not looking forward to another babyboom! If they don't do it on their own, I might make the decicion for them though :)

    Thanks for reading!

Serinims Welcome to SimsVille! I always love new followers! And I'm really glad you've enjoyed it so far, I hope it stays that way :)
I'm hoping one of their friends gets kids too, but I prefer if both couples have kids. I doubt those kids will be Vincent's age though, but maybe around the age of the next one, that would be nice as well.
If they do have other plans, there's a change I decide that they'll have kids ;)

    Thanks for reading!
