What I've been working on

I'm very aware that there haven't been a lot of updates lately, and I'm very sorry about that.
I have been playing though, and my game has been running every weekend, well almost every weekend, but I just didn't feel like writing the next update. I've started it in May and it hasn't changed a thing since than.
The families I've been playing, have been really interesting, at least I think so, and I also think they would make some nice updates, if I could only get this first one going!

I haven't been just playing my sims, I've also been building, and rebuilding, and thinking of things I want to do, and execute them, and ...

I wanted you all to see what I've been doing, without spoiling the next updates, so here a few pics of the thing I've been building and rebuilding.

This is the SVU campus, located on the boarder of Simmeria; with several faculties, most of them still need to be build, 3 dorms, private housing, community lots, ...
When you follow the road to the left of the map you'll be heading to SimsVille, on the right is the rest of Simmeria.

I've been mostly working on my already excisting faculties and adjusting them, but I've also added one.
This new building is the Faculty of  Desighn. I thought it looked nice, and figured it would fit a bunch of designers :)
I just love this ... I don't know how it's called, galery??
And of course I had to test if out by night.

This is another thing I've been working. The BDD Hospital - BellaDonna District Hospital. It's located in the BellaDonna District of Simmeria, and this is mainly a rebuild of what I had before, of course no before pictures ...
In the later updates, you'll see some small shots in the hospital, but I can't show them at the moment, since some of them will will be huge spoilers!

This an apartmentbuilding I've been working on. The plan was that it looked cheap, since it's in the cheaper part of Simmeria, but I never seem to be able to get that look! I like how this looks though, so I'm just going to keep it as it is!
The back of the building.
Top down view of the first floor: left a 1 bedroom apartment, right a laundry/arcade, and a ‘wild garden’
Top down view of the 2nd floor: left a studio, with small balcony, right the bedrooms and bathroom of a 2 bedroom apartment
Top down view of the 3rd floor: living area of the 2 bedroom apartment, with a small balcony

And some shots of the 'wild garden'

I've done more, but I'm crappy at remembering to take pictures, so when I think of taking some, I'll try to post them as well.

Well, I've hope you've all enjoyed it, and I hope to get that long awaited update out soon!

  1. I love the wild garden! Fun idea to have that ratty looking couch in there too - it adds just the right touch.

As always Tanja, you are so inspiring with your building! I have so many lots that need to be placed/built for my game and it is so overwhelming but seeing other simmers' efforts does give me a little prod along to get going. :)

  2. You're right, it does not look cheap at all, but very modern and stylish :-)
Love the campus - you always have things so well thought through and organized, I truly admire you for that!

  3. Looks great. Whenever I try to build cheap buildings, they always look a little too nice :)

  4. It looks good, and like Carla I like the old couch there. I think it's harder to build cheap or messy things in the game than it is to build nice things.

  5. Carla I really really really wanted it to look a little bit more cheap, but I like that couch there as well :)

Well, I'm always glad to be able to inspire others, especially since I get inspired by you and so many other simmers myself!
Having to build a lot of lots like in your game does get tiring at times, but it's worth it!

    Thanks for reading!

Librarian I really did my best, but I'm lousy at it :)

I'm not all that great in organizing, at least I don't think so, not when it comes to the large things, and most of it comes from other simmers. But I like the small details, like how long it takes to get from one city to another :)

    Thanks for reading!

Apple Valley Thank you! It's really hard trying to build cheap looking buildings! But I like this one, so it's going to look just as it is, and it's going to stay in the cheaper part of town! :)

    Thanks for reading!

Blackcat I thought the cough might make it look a little bit more cheap, but I guess it failed its puspose, lol! I really do think it's rather hard to build cheap looking houses, but most of the time I like my buildings, cheap or not :)

    Thanks for reading!

  6. Love that indoor garden area, super great view and the windows are the perfect touch for it. You've really been busy with building, the faculty also looks really nice. I would have just gritted my teeth and written the update or skipped it entirely if I was that unmotivated to play! You've really gotten a lot done though in your avoidance of that update!

  7. Maisie I was inspired to build, that's the best time to build, the only downside to it, is that I have so many ideas that I can't execute all at the same time, so I tend to forget some of them :)

I finally gotten the update out, and it wasn't as bad as I was expecting it to be, so maybe I should just grid my teeth in the future and just write it, lol!

    Thanks for reading!
