Elisa de Leeuw likes to spend time in the new nurerey, and she can't wait to come home and put her baby in the new crib. Harald feels the same, and is also anxious to meet his child, so he often joins his wife.

It would be nice to talk to an actual baby instead of talking to Elisa's belly.

Only 3 more months for baby de Leeuw to enter the world.

Tessa Zang is already 1 year old, and she really is a cutie.

She looks a lot like her older sister, Nora, and just like Nora I think she looks the most like her dad.

Notes:

I finally picked the names for Elisa and Harald's baby, and I'm not even sure about the name for a boy yet! This is rather late for me, normally I have names planned even before they get pregnant.
Only a few more sim-months before baby de Leeuw to arrive, I'm pretty anxious to find out what they will be having :)

I really do think Tessa is adorable! As I said I think she looks the most like Nora, but she's still different, I think she's even prettier than Nora :)

It's been 2 years since Mia died, and I still think it's different to do everything without her, but I manage. I had to get a job again, and since there is only one income, there isn't enough money to hire any help so I have to the household on my own.

I love spending time with my kids, and really hate having to leave Anthony at the day care when I have to go to work. I try to make it up with him by playing with him as much as I can.

He's such a good boy, and is very cappable of entertaining himself.

His sisters keep him occupied as well, although they tease him as well. I always knew Morgana would tease him, but I never thought Zenzi would do it as well, she much sweeter than Morgana, but kids will be kids I think.

Sometimes I think it's sad that Anthony will never really know he's mother. I will make sure he knowes who she is, but he will never be able to do things with her or have nice memories of her. At other moments I think it's a blessing.

When I saw how hard the girls were struggeling when Mia first died, I'm kind of gratefull Anthony never had to go through it that way. But the girls got through it, and they seem fine now.

Every night, when Anthony has gone to bed, I usually spend some hours with the girls, just watching tv, or just talking.

And every time to tell me they love me, or hug me, I can't help but feel how blessed I am, despite everything that has happened.

Morgana and Zenzi have been asking for a pet for a long time now. We used to have a cat, but she died, and I do like having a pet in the house, so I got them a little kitten.

They decided to call her Missy, and all 3 of the kids adore her. Who can blame them, she really is a cutie!

I was a little bit scared when I saw they way Anthony handled Missy, but she hasn't scratched him once, and seems to enjoy his attention as much as she enjoys every one else's attention.

My weekends are totally dedicated to my children. No work or household chores the, just me and the kids. I usally try to take them to fun places, and since the weather has been great, the park seems like the best place.

The nearby park isn't big, but all 3 of the kids seem to enjoy going there every weekend. And I love spending time with them or watch them have fun.

It was one of those weekends, when a strange woman walked up to me and asked me if I was Olaf Verbon. I was a little bit surprised when she introduced herself as Hariët Verbon, now Ooms.

Apparently she's my sister and we have the same dad. I never thought about that option, since I never knew my dad. It's strange to meet your younger sister when your 42 years old, but it's kind of nice as well. She lives in Simmeria as well, and has a husband and 1 daugher and she's expecting her second child.

That day we just talked about all kind of things. It was a nice afternoon, and we agreed to try and meet each other again, but we're both really busy, so we haven't set a date yet.

I thought everything was going well, and that we all adjusted pretty well these past 2 years. So you can imagine I was surpised when Morgana and Zenzi's principal, Marie Gerrits, asked to meet me.

It seems like their grades still aren't good. Marie said they do look at the children's situations, and that she understands that it's been hard on the girls, but she would like to seem them get better grades, and some participation in class.

I really was surpised to hear that. Morgana and Zenzi never mentioned anything about something like that, and I watch them to their homework every night. So when they came home from school the afternoon, I sat them down to have a talk with them.

They promissed me to do better, and went to work the same night. I still have to see their grades get up, but Marie and I agreed she'd call me to talk about their progress every week, so I'll know soon enough.

Notes:

Hariët has been living in Simmeria for some time now. She's the owner of the babyshop in Simmeria. She's married with Albert Ooms, and they have 1 daughter, Bailey Ooms, she's 3 years old. They are expecting their 2nd child in February 2022.
I've been waiting for a situation to introduce them, but last round didn't seem like the right time, so I postponed it to this round. Olaf and Hariët will be meeting some more in the future.
The Ooms family will be one of the playable NPC's, for now.
Morgana and Zenzi share a room at the moment, and I've been playing with the idea of giving them their own rooms, but for some reason I don't think they are ready at the moment, so I didn't do that this round. Tjeir house is already adjusted to this though :)
I wanted Olaf to go out, and maybe meet some new people, but he was needed at home, and introducing that in this update, would make it really long, and it's already pretty long, so maybe next time, when Anthony is older as well, he will go out.

Tanja's Fake Rowhouses

Since I'm, once again, late with my update, and since I haven't had much time to comment, reply and do all such things, I decidede to share some more lots with you.

After seeing some of the fake rowhouses some have build, I got inspired to do so myself. So I've build these house a really long time ago, I think over a year ago, and I've had families living there for some time as well.
They aren't very big, but I think they are easy to play. At the moment I have 4 families living in them, Kenneth and Lawrence Warner, Olaf Verbon and her 3 children, Morgana, Zenzi and Anthony, Mariëtte Alenis and boyfriend Adam Snijder, and her daughter Bethany, and a family you haven't met yet.

So on the to tour:

This is how they are placed in my hood. I have 2 row of 5 houses, they basically need 3 different houses to look like this.

One on the left.

One in the middle.

And one on the right.

This is a top down view from the ground floor. All houses look the same. The living-area is very spacious and with adding walls and half walls you can divide it up into seperate parts, or leave it just like it is, and have loft-feeling.
There is also a small bathroom downstairs and a small garden.

This is a top down view of the 1st floor. You can see that there are 3 nice bedrooms, and common bathroom, and the master bedroom even has its ensuite bathroom.
For one of my own families I have created 4 bedrooms, by enlarging the ensuite bathroom with 1 row of the master bedroom, and still it all looks rather spacious.

I really love playing these houses, and hope you all will too.

As an early birthdaypresent mom and dad gave my room a make-over. I picked out everything myself, and I love it. I spend almost all of my free time in there.

I had to include a place for my violin, I love playing it. I don't think I will ever do something in music, but it's nice to get away from the real world sometimes, and my violin helps me with that.

I don't like doing my homework that much, but I love sitting at my new desk, so in a way I don't mind as much.

Now that I'm almost 13 mom and dad trust me to go out on my own. It's just to that park one block away, but still I don't have to go with Matthew all the time anymore. There are some kids from school as well.

I like spending time with Morgan, he so nice and so easy to talk to. I'm not allowed to date just yet, but spending time in the park isn't a really date, is it?

He even calls at nights after school, just to talk, and not only about school, but about a lot of things.

Matthew is almost 17, and he's allowed to go where ever he wants as long as he stays in SimsVille. Most of the time he meets up with his girlfriend, Melina. I can't wait to be old enough to go where I want to go.

He sometimes brings her home, and at times she even spends the night, just to sneak away before everybody gets up. Matthew is sure we don't know about it, and that we don't know what he's doing, so we leave him in his dreamworld.

He doesn't spend a lot of time with Melina. They are both working on getting into college, and that's their priority at the the moment. He spends almost every free moment working.

It did pay off though. Some months ago he got a letter from SVU telling him he got in. Both mom and dad were so proud of him.

To celebrate they took us to a nearby restaurant. It wasn't something fancy but I love being out, so it's always fun to go out.

With Matthew getting in the presure on me is up. Mom and dad don't push me, but I know they would like for me to get in as well. It's not that I don't want to go, I just don't like all the work I have to do to get in.

Sometimes when I see mom and dad, I wonder if I will have that too one day. They seem so comfortable together, and it would be nice to have that one day too.

On the other hand, I wouldn't want it too soon eithern even though it seems nice.

Notes:

I'm currently redecorating most of my sims' houses, to make them feel more like them. In this case; both Andrea and Dimitri's favourite color is blue, so it seemed more fitting for them to have a livingroom with more blue in it. The redecorating of Marlys' room is just because she's a teen now.
Not much on the parents in this update, because really not much happened, they constantly went upstairs to their room, I'm just glad there isn't another baby on the way.
Both Melina and Matthew got into college, so next round we'll see them as freshmen at SVU. We'll see them both in the Mokara update and of course their last high school update.
Marlys and Morgan have a 3 botl chemistry. I couldn't believe it when I saw it. I just let her go to the park, and teleported Morgan Penninkmeijer and Stephan Belio in for her to meet, and she and Morgan just hit it off. Marlys is still too young to date, but we'll see what will happen.

Birthdays - June 2021

No real birthdays this month, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Dr. Ingrid Carette and boyfriend Claus Lamberts are finally getting married! They've waited long enough, they got engaged in July 2019, the same month they found out they were expecting their first child.

It seems tradition for them to have great events in the months they find out their family will expand. They found out this month that they will be adding to their family. It's still early in the pregnancy, but if all goes well they will be welcoming their second child in March 2022.

Notes:

As I said it's not really a birthday-update, but I wanted to mention their wedding somewhere. The night of the wedding the automomously tryed for a baby and were succesfull. Ingrid doesn't have to want, but Claus does, so if they didn't do it on their own I would have helped them a little, but their ideal family size is 3, so they definatly shouldn't wait too long anymore, Ingrid is 39 and Claus is 29.
So the first baby to be born next round won't be born untill March! At the moment I feel quite pleased with my sims for that, I don't want another babyboom like I had this round!
I'm hoping they are getting a girl, just to mix it up a little bit in this family, but I wouldn't mind a boy either. I do hope they go for that 3rd child to reach their ideal family size.

This last year Berend I haven't been living in the Ardens a lot. Firts their was Elisa's wedding, then we had to move from our rental apartment, move in to something new, and now Elisa is pregnant. I have to admit I like being in Simmeria this much, and we've settled into a nice routine.

Our days are pretty quiet, but we both like it this way. When we moved to the Ardens we both kept our jobs, but took some long time off. Now that we are back in Simmeria, we're back at work, but we don't work full time anymore, and are both able to take time off quite a lot.

Since we don't work full time anymore we do have quite a lot of time to spend in our new apartment.

The comon-area's are also well equipped for us to entertain ourselfs, and Berend has taken an interest in golf. Whenever I'm at work I'm pretty sure he spends the entire day smashing that small ball around.

I do love spending time in Simmeria, it makes it a lot easier for our families to visit. Especially now, now that Elisa is expecting her first child, it would have been harder for her to travel to the Ardens.

I like it that Harald and Elisa always take out some time to visit whenever we're in Simmeria. We don't have to do a lot of special things, just hanging out together is more than enough.

And I really love seeing Elisa. I'm very excited to meet my 1st grandchild, and I made Berend promiss we'd stay in Simmeria at least untill this new baby is 2 months old, and I had time to spoil him/her.

Berend and Elisa aren't the best friends, but they get along. I'm glad I can leave the room and not come back to a battlefield.

As much as I love spending time with Elisa, I'm glad to have the evening to ourselfs, just Berend and I. The weather has been nice this month, or maybe I just think it has since I'm used to the weather in the Ardens. Anyway we've been able to enjoy our balcony quite a lot.

Berend however isn't much of the sitting-at-home-type of guy. His daughter, Maddie, likes going out as well. So whenever we meet Maddie it's mostly somewhere else but home. Last time we went to the bowlinglane in SimsVille and she brought her boyfriend, Cole, for us to meet.

It's always fun throwing a huge ball as hard as you can and try to kick over as much pins as you can. And it's even more fun when you can do it with family.

I however get tired of the game pretty soon, so I usually go to the bar after some games. Maddie sometimes joins me while the boy continue playing.

After an entire night haning out in a bowling alley I'm pretty happy to go back home and get in bed.

Notes:

So Berend and Larissa were the elder couple I needed a new apartmentbuilding for, and they of course were the first ones to move in as well. I originally planned on decorating their aparment a little bit less modern, but I like how it looks now :)
I think I'm as excited to meet Elisa and Harald's baby as Larissa is :) I hope I can continue playing the way I am at the moment, wich is ahead of my posting :), this way the birth of the little one will be here pretty fast :)
I'm aware that the profilepages are still a huge work in progress, I'm still working on them!

Birthday - May 2021

Xun Zang never though he would be a father of 4, and now there's even a 5th child on the way. It wasn't planned, but looking at little Tessa he can't help but be excited about this new baby that will arrive in November.

Their 3 oldest children, Ross, Mona and Nora, are all excited about this new baby as well. Both Mona and Nora would love another sister, but Ross keeps hoping this new baby is going to be a little brother. After 3 sisters he thinks he deserves a brother.

Both Tosca and Xun would be happy with either, but kids are kids, and they just keep hoping they are getting what they wished for.

Over in Simmeria, the Terrano family is celebrating their youngest 1st birthday. They can't believe it's only been a year since Wylco was born.

Notes:

I've said it before but still I'm hoping Tosca and Xun will get a girl. Although I have to admit that a little brother in that family would be nice as well, poor Ross it can't be easy being the only boy, but still I want that girl :) After all he's got 5 cousins who are all boys!
I think Wylco is a cutie :) I think he looks the most like his dad, but I'm not completely sure about that. I do think his face shape is different from his sisters, Enya and Sayda.

Zang - April 2021

I can't believe how much my life has changed since I got Bethany and later Alex and Carl. Every one really loves the days when Bethany is with us, which is unfortunatly only from Wednesdaynight untill Sundaymorning.

She's such a joy to have around, she smiles all the time and seems to be happy with everything we do for her. I don't like the fact that she has to travel between houses every week, but otherwise I wouldn't see her at all. So I try to do as much with her as I can.

We live near 2 parks, and since it's spring we go there quit a lot. Alex really enjoys those outings a lot too, and I can't wait for Carl to be old enough to join us on those trips.

I know Bethay would love for playmates her age to join us on those trips as well, but to be honest I really don't think I can handle any children but my own, so she has to be happy with just the outings, without any company her age.

As I said, she seems to be happy with everything we do for her, so she enjoys herself on her own, and when Alex asks for her attention she just gives, all without complaining.

She loves the parks with living statues the most. She's really fasinated by them, and can't stop laughing every time one of those men scares me.

Mariëtte is never late when she has to pich up Bethany on Sundaymornings. I imagine she misses Bethany as well when she's not with her. I don't like saying goodbye to Bethany, but I know I see her again next week.

We do have Alex and Carl to focus on. And just as Bethany they seem to be happy all the time. Last Christmas Alex got a Jack-in-the-box, and it has been his favourite toy since. It's great to hear him giggle every time the Jack jumps out the box.

He's also learning to walk. I'm sure he can do it on his own, but he's too scared to do so, so he still depends on me or Anna a lot.

Carl still is too small to do all these things on his own, but hes taken an interest in his brother. Every time we pick him up and he sees his brother, he follows him everywhere. It's going to be fun to see thme play together when Carl is old enough.

Anna and I have been talking about more kids, she really wants more, and would love a daughter, but I'm not sure. I already have 3 kids, and I never saw myself as a father of 4. But I'm not going to say never, I might change my mind one day, but not now.

Ever since mom got her new job with the police force she hasn't had as much time to spend with the children, and I know she missed them. The time when she's home, both Anna and I are home, and we take care of them ourselfs. She's proud to be with the police force though, but she hopes to be able to cut back on hours soon.

Dad on the other hand still works nights, and he spends all his mornings with what he loves doing, sleeping.

Anna say that, once he's up, he loves spending time with the boys. Some days Anna has a lot of free time because of it.

The boys don't seem to mind, they adore their grandparents, and love spending time with them.

Everybody seems to adore the kids. We were a little bit scared that Rambo would be violent towards the kids, but he leaves them alone, unless they come to him.

Both mom and dad though dad Anna and I needed some time out of the house together, and made reservations at the nearby restaurant. They watched the kids while we had some time for ourselfs.

We had a great time, and Anna's night even got better when I pulled out a little black box and placed it on the table. I could see she wasn't expecting this.

I immidiatly told her I didn't want anything big or fancy, but that didn't seem to mind her. She doesn't want anything like that either.

The next day she or course had to tell Jo about it. They have been sharing everything since they were kids, and Anna said she couldn't wait to tell her about our engagement.

I'm pretty sure there were some other conversationtopics as well, they are girls after all.

Notes:

So Anna and Bai are engaged. Anna has had the want to get engaged ever since she aged to adult, but Bai never rolled the want. He's romance/fortune so I don't think he will ever roll that want, but at least he doesn't have the fear to get engaged, or married.
I haven't set a date yet for their wedding, but it definatly will be something small!! They might even elope to one of the vacation islands :)
Anna also has the want for another child, also since she aged to adult. Her ideal family size is 6, Bai's 2, neither of them is allowed birth control so we never know what's going to happen. If they don't get a child autonomously, I might even be tempted to let them have another one. I would like to see a girl from these 2 myself :)

Single Apartments

For one of my next families I was in need of new apartmentbuilding. It didn't have to be large, only 1 bedroom was enough, since it's for an elder couple there really isn't much chance for a familyexpansion.

I live in a spacious but not too big apartment myself, and I decided to base this new aparment on my own, with some minor changes.
I thought it would be nice to give you all a tour, and even put it up for download.
I tryed to use as less CC as possible, but I'm not used to that. The CC I did use is all free, I'm not going to put out a list, but if you want to know where I got a specific thing just ask.

The decorating isn't much. When I build apartmentbuildings, I usually decorate every apartment the same, because it's easier.

So this is the newest addition in Simmeria.

The building is created with elders in mind. Every apartment has 1 bedroom, and 1 bathroom. The livingroom is very spacious so they can invite their children over.

The common-area is equipped with all calm things, like chess, golf and paiting easels.

Belio - Penninkmeijer Wedding

Jack and I decided to go the traditional way, and we each stayed with out parents the night before the wedding.

It was kind of nice to be home again. Mom and I never got along that great when I still lived at home, and of course I ruined it all by getting a tattoo when I was 16, but we get along much better now that I'm not living at home any more.

I felt really great when dad hugged me and told how proud he and mom were, despite everything that had happend in the past.

My original plan was to get some sleep, wake up and get myself ready, but I was too nervous, and couldn't get to sleep, instead I was up almost the entire night, and started cleaning the kitchen.

I was really happy when it was finally time to get myself ready. I started early so I could spend hours on getting myself ready.

I got even more nervous when we arrived at Jack's parent's house, and I saw all the guest finding their seats.

I wasn't nervous anymore when I stood in front of Jack to say our vows.

It's not that I don't like attention, but I was relieved when it was over.

We didn't want a huge party, just a nice get together with our families, so we decided on only serving cake.

Jack's dad insisted on giving a speech, but that was about all we did.

Because we just had a small party we could spend a little bit more on out honeymoon. We went to Twikii Island, where we rented a bungalow for a couple of days.

To continue in traditions Jack carried me inside.

We didn't do much on our honeymoon. Most of the time we stayed at the beach near our bungalow, and enjoyed all the facilities there.

We didn't have to go to the beach to have nice ocean-view though. Our bungalow was right on the beach, and our balcony had amazing oceanview.

It's not that we did nothing. Jack informed about the excursion available, and was really excited about the helicopterflight.

We also visted some other accomodations, and enjoyed all the facilities the island had to offer.

We even tried out the sauna, which was kind of crazy since it was already so hot there, and we felt kind of stupid sitting in an even warmer room!

I loved the fact that we didn't have to cook at all. I'm not a great cook, but I do love good food, so it was nice being able to order roomservice or go to the nearby hotel.

The nights were spend like every newlywed couple would.

As were the mornings.

Extra:

Margareth and Elisabeth are 4 months old, and really don't enjoy their bouncing chairs, like almost every other baby in SimsVille.

I'm aware that the update isn't great, both the pictures and the text aren't great, but bare with me, I was sick when I played this wedding, and I'm still not great writing it.
I originally planned on a large wedding, with a lot of family. I wanted Ling's brother and sister to be their as well with their children, and their children's partners. But when I summoned every one to the lot, and wanted to change them all in their formalwear the game crashed, and I didn't want to go through the summoning all over again. So instead of the large wedding I have in mind, it was just a small one, but still a nice one :)
The bungalow Jack and Jo are staying in is part of the N99 Forum Project. I don't know if anybody remembers the original ones, but I think this ones look a lot better :)
No pregnancy here :) I made sure to keep them both on birth control this time :) I can't wait to see a baby from these 2 but they don't seem like the couple to rush into these kind of things, they also waited 2 years to get married. After all neither of them has rolled the want to have baby.

I'm aware of the fact that I haven't update in 2 weeks, but somehow I haven't found the time to play either!
I can safely say that I hate this! I have some lots I want to show for the N99 Forum Project this month, and I have some ideas for some new lot I need in my hood, and I really want to play and post Jack and Johanna's wedding and honeymoon, but so far all I was able to do is dress everyone for the occasion and prepare his parent's house for the wedding!
I haven't been able to keep up with the blogs I'm following either!

So I'm sorry every one for the delays in posts and comments, I really do hope to get some simming-time soon and be able to post something!

Birthdays - April 2021

Since it's spring, everybody can go out more, and enjoy the nice weather. Among all of those enjoying nature in this time of the year, is Elisa de Leeuw. And she's enjoying a little bit more than just nature.

Elisa just entered the 2nd trimester of her pregnancy. Dr Carette assured her that everything is fine with her and the baby, and that she should enjoy everything as much as she can. Elisa's mother comes back from the Ardens more now, to be with her daughter and give advice where needed.

Tina Mishoen is all past enjoying her pregnancy, though she would be happy to have some one give advice or keep her company, especially now that she's gone into labor, but as ussual Niels didn't show up.

So Tina is all alone when she has to go through the pains of labor.

Most of it all is forgotten when she hold her daughter in her arms. It's painfull to see that little Zoey looks a little bit like her father.

She's a really enjoyable baby though. And both of Tina's roommates are more than happy when she can come home with Zoey. Niels is still a no-show, but Zoey will be loved, that's for sure!

I still don't have a gender-preference for Elisa and Harald's baby, so it's going to be an easy one here, since I will be happy with either :)
I couldn't picture Tina with a daughter, but my game gave her one. I really had trouble picking a name, but I would have had the same problem if Zoey would have been a boy :)
So Niels has a daughter. I haven't visited him yet, so I have no idea if he rolled any wants for Zoey. I can see him though as the one to wait a few days before popping in and take a look.

I don't know what's been up with mom lately, but I like it. I've been nagging to do something different with my hair for some time now, and she never allowed me. But some afternoon after school, she surprised me with a visit to the hairdresser.

She still wanted to have a say in the final decision, but allowed me to choose a new hairstyle myself, and I absolutely like it!

Mom couldn't believe how different I looked, but she said it looked great. I tryed convincing her to do something different herself, but she was quite shocked with that suggestion, so I just let it go.

Since the restaurant was closed that day, and dad wasn't expecting us home soon, mom took me to the Blue Spoon to grab a burger. I never thought I would admit that I had a fun afternoon with my mother.

But as I said, I don't know what's been up with mom. She and aunt Andrea never were best friends. I always thought they just accepted each other because they were family. But earlier this month she invited aunt Andrea and uncle Dimitri over, she said she wanted the family to get along.

Since dad is a cook, and owns his own restaurant, he immidiatly made the visit into a familygathering complete with a barbeque.

It's nice that aunt Andrea and uncle Dimitri's children are practically Julian and mine age, it makes haging out a lot more fun. Even Matthew's girlfriend, who he brings to almost everything, is fun to be with.

Matthew and Melina can be quite annoying though. They are very much in love, and I don't have a problem with with, but I do have a problem with their constant kissing, especially when you're with family or friends.

Even though Marlys is 2 years older than Julian, she still spends a lot of time with him. They were pretty close when they both went to elementary school, and I pretty sure they are both counting down the years untill Julian goes to high school as well.

When dinner was serverd, kids and and adults were all seated on a different talbes. I didn't mind that much. As much as I want to be treated as an adult, I like being a kid sometimes as well.

By the way, the kid's table is always much more fun anyway!

Since I only work on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, mom expects me to look after Julian after school. I have to be honest, he isn't much trouble, and I really don't mind. Most of the time he's in the internet with his friends, or reading stuff.

And the only thing he really asks me to do with him is soccer, and I love playing soccer, so I don't mind. He's always disappointed when he's not able to score, but that's just life, I'm not planning on letting him win!

Dad isn't letting me win with chess either, at least I don't think he does. I still play my little tricks on him like when I was a kid. I don't know if he's just humoring me or that he really believes my tricks, I'm winning, and I like it.

Since I work during the weekends, I try to keep up with my schoolwork as much as I can during the week, so I don't have to spend my weekend on my homework as well.

After high school I want to go to university, and I'm working hard towards that as well. I still need some scholarships, but I still have 3 years, so there's time to earn them.

Notes:

Since my sims don't roll enought skilling-wants to my liking, I let them learn as soon as they roll the want to go to univeristy. The problem with this strategy is that almost every teen rolls that want! Emma is heading the good direction, though anything is still possible.
No pictures of the restaurant this time, but it's still there :) Lucas still owns it, but I played the family during their weekdays, and no weekends, and I already had the familygathering planned, so I didn't let them go to the restaurant.
Speaking of the familygathering, Sophie rolled the ROS for a family reunion. I don't think this comes in my sims' memories as a family reunion, since the family isn't big at all, but they couldn't invite any more members over.
I'm aware that some of the houses may look different than in previous rounds, but I'm redecorating some of the as I play, and I'm not writing it in every time, it would get kind of boring.
During this playsession, I took new profilepictures for Lucas, Sophie, Emma, Andrea, Dimitri, Matthew and Marlys, but forgot all about Julian. As soon as I have that one, I will bu updating their profiles with the new pictures as well!

Birthday - March 2021

Tosca Zang is really enjoying having another baby in the house. She really missed it when the twins, Mona and Nora, started school. But now with little Tessa she can enjoy it once again.

Lately she hasn't been feeling so well, especially in the mornings. She can already guess what's going on, after all she's been through it all 3 times before.

This new baby certainly wasn't planned, and Xun still has problem grasping the fact that they will be having a 5th child in November, but Tosca is really excited about the idea.

In Simmeria Sya and Marie Gerrits are arriving at the hospital. Marie's already having contractions, so it's time for their baby to arrive.

Unfortunatly the baby isn't quite ready to come yet, and Marie needs to find things to keep her busy in between contractions.

When the time finally is there, Sya, despite being a doctor, is a little bit lost in what she can do to help her wife, and is pretty happy to see Ingrid enter the room.

After some time Marie is finally able to hold her new born son, Felix.

Sya's also very excited to meet their son.

The most exciting is bringing little Felix home.

Both parents are really enjoying parenthood, and little Felix.

Doctor Ingrid Carette and Claus Lambert's little boy, Oscar, is already turning 1 this month. He has his dad's bronw hair, but his mother's dark blue eyes.

So Tosca and Xun are having another baby, and it's surely wasn't planned! I just redid their house, to give every child (all 4 of them) their own room upstairs, Tosca and Xun also have a bedroom upstairs, and his parents have one downstairs. But now with the new baby the twins will have to keep sharing their room so the new baby will have its own room.
Tosca got pregnant thanks to birth control failure, the night she gave birth to Tessa. Some of you might remember that I tweeted about the fact that this time I didn't forget to put the parent's back on birth control (unlike Anna Min), but that my game once again decided against me ....
Anyway Tosca is due in November 2021, and I'm really hoping for another girl! It would still be nice to have Ross be a big brother to all sisters :) Also Tosca and Xun are the only ones giving Tao and Yena granddautghers, the other one all gave them grandsons, Lewis, Joshua and Michael Mishoen and George and Charles Roque ...
The ones of you following me on twitter, might remember I tweeted that I was dancing around the room because I was pretty happy with my game ... It's now safe to say that I was so happy Marie had a boy, and that he was the reason I was dancing around the room, silly I know, but still :)
Felix has bronw hair, wich really surprised me, Marcus Young, his biological dad has black hair, and if I remember correctly nobody in his family has bronw hair, and Marie has red hair. She's a townie so I guess anything could have happend. I'm really happy with the color of his hair though, and I also love he has a skintone that is a mix of both his biological parents.
And I just LOVE little Oscar, he's so cute!

Some time ago mom said she was ready to go out and start dating again. To be honest though, I haven't seen much of it just yet. Most of her days are spend working, wich of course is normal, but on her time of she's constantly bussy with the shop.

There is some improvement though. She goes out more often, and meets up with her good friend Frieda quite a lot.

I'm sure they always have fun, and they always have lots to talk about. But going out to eat, and just sticking with your friend, doesn't guarantee that she will meet a new guy.

Frieda sometimes drags mom to some kind of club as well, to have drinks,

and dance, and just have some fun, and mom ussually has fun. I'd just wish she'd meet some one she can be happy with.

I don't want to force her into a relationship, and I don't want her to do anything she doesn't want to. It's just that I'm so happy with Cole, and I want mom to have the same.

With work, and the shop and everything else, it's pretty hard to meet Cole and do some things together, but we ussually manage to go out at least once a week.

My life has become pretty full lately. I'm not complaining, I still need to find a good balance between everything. I usually meet with Cole, and keep in contact with my friends over the phone. I miss seeing them, but it's the only way at the moment, since we all have so little time.

Keeping contact with dad over the phone is more difficult. Everytime he and Larissa are in Simmeria, he insists on meeting me.

I like spending time with dad, but lately I only have time for a quick coffee in the park. I know he'd wish I had more time to spend with him, but he understands them I'm bussy.

I work evenings/nights, so I have time during the day to go by the shop, and open it. I like working there, but I love to be able to go to an actual job, and meet with my collegues.

Notes:

I know this update is kind of lousy, but to be honest, so were their wants! Ella doesn't roll any fun want, and wants to crafts pots all the time. Maddy's only 'fun' want is to get married to Cole, but I think it's a little bit too soon for that, and she like crafting pots all day long as well.
The shop really is doing fine, even when Maddy is running it, and she's really no good in any of the things, selling, restocking or handling the cash register, but she manages.
I finally gotten around to taking new pictures for my profiles. Ella and Maddy are the first ones to get new pictures, and I like them :)
I've also given Cole a 'real' family. The boy now has a mother; Magdalena, and a twin-brother; David. I will need to update the playable NPC section as well, but I'll stick to the profiles for now :)
Oh, I know I'm early, but I I don't want to be too late; but Merry Christmas to every one!

Birthdays - February 2021

Elisa de Leeuw hasn't been feeling too well this past couple of weeks. She went to the doctor for a check up, but he couldn't find anything wrong with her, he even took some blood, and now she has an appointment with Dr Carette to discus the results.

Dr Carette has some pretty exciting new for Elisa. The bloodresults came back, and everything is fine with Elisa, she can expirience some nausea the next couple of months, and even gain some weight, but in about 9 months she will be holding her baby.

Elisa is pretty shocked by this news. She and Harald have been talking about having kids, and they both agreed to stop with birth control but neither thought things were going to go this fast.

She really excited to tell the news to Harald though, and she can tell by the look on his face he wasn't expecting this news at all.

He's really happy with the news though, and can hardly wait for it to be October.

Some more exciting news at the Penninkmeijer-residence, where Catherine and Dirk are finally able to bring their twin girls, Elisabeth and Margaret, home.

It's good feeling to be able to put the babies down in their own cribs, and not having to drive to Simmeria every day.

So well, Elisa and Harald were kind of a surpise to me! I took them off birth control at the end of their play session, and didn't think I would play them any time soon. But when Mairi invited them over, I made both Harald and Elisa selectable, and they both headed to the bedroom immidiatly and tried for a baby. So to add to the babyboom, Elisa and Harald are expecting their first child in October 2021.
Elisabeth and Margaret had to stay in the hospital for a couple of weeks, since they came early. I loved taking this pictures of Catherine and Dirk bringing the girls home :)

The kids had 2 weeks off from school this Christmas, and both Harry and I were able to take some days off from work as well to spend with our children. We tried to do as much fun things as possible, thought there isn't much to do when everything is covered in snow, so the skating rink was one of the most visited options.

Harry isn't much of an outdoor-type, so I ussually stick it out a little bit longer than he does.

After some tours in the rink he goes inside to get warm and get some coffee.

I have to admit that I don't stay out much longer than he does, and ussually join him inside to get a coffee myself only 15 minutes after him.

Even though the kids aren't that good in skating, they loved those trips. And were more than happy to stay out on their own instead of joining Harry and me inside.

Those trips most of the time ended with us all going down to Pete's Pizza and more in Simmeria, a newle opened restaurant. The kids love going out to dinner, and always have a good time when we do.

Both Harry and I couldn't take the entire holiday off, so one of us always had to make sure we were able to work from home. Camden and Collin are already 11 and 10 years old, but I still don't feel good about leaving them alone, so I still ended up spending the holiday at home, with some occasional trips to work.

Harry had a harder time getting to work from home. Meeting with clients isn't easy to do form home when your kids running in and out. The days he did was able to work at home, he was ussually joining in the study by Camden. Camden will start high school next year, and wants to be well prepared.

He spend his entire holiday studying and doing some extra tasks, because he fears he will be behind when he start high school. I'm sure he will do great, but there's no convincing him of that at the moment.

Collin on the other hand isn't too eager to learn at the moment. He's kind of bumped that his brother is spending all this time studying and is focussing on Maggie at the moment. And Maggie of course doesn't mind all the extra attention.

I did wish he'd focus more on his studies and skills and such, and put away his toy-rackets, but he keeps telling me he's going to enjoy his childhood as long as it lasts.

Maybe he's right about that. I've been focussing a lot on my work this last couple of years, and it's only recenly that I've started to take out some time to enjoy my children.

Last year, we were all invited to my sister Elisa's wedding. And it made me realise that I really do miss being close to her. There's a pretty big age difference between us, and I never lived at home when she was born, but she's still my sister. So I try to invite her over a little bit more.

It's nothing fancy or anything, and since nor Harry or I are great cooks, but just order Chinese and talk about all sorts of things. It's just nice to see her more.

Notes:

I'm putting the new skating rink lot I've build into good use :) It would have been more logical to send the Wagtmans family to the skating rink in Simmeria since they live there, but I'm currently doing some changes to that one, and it doesn't look good at the moment, so they went to the rink in SimsVille instead.
Camden and Collin are probably the most prepared children to start high school! They both have a bunch of skills, Camden even more than Collin. I made them study before I played by their wants, but Camden keeps rolling wants, so I'm pretty sure he'll do good. Collin on the other hands, doesn't roll as many wants to study, if any that is.
I wanted Mairi and Elisa to have a better relationship. They will never be best friends, but just friends will be fine :) I'm kind of getting tired of my sims not knowing each other once they moved out of the parental home.

Samantha Bradshaw is 25

Lately she has been feeling pretty good. Everything in her life is going great, her job as a journalist, her friendship with Anna, the bookstore. Even things with Niels are still going fine! She still feels he's nice company and loves spending time with him.

They go out quite a lot, to fancy places, but also to less fancy places. And that's what's so fun with Niels, he likes doing all sorts of things, and going to all sorts of places.

They always end up back at her hotelroom and the Green Flamingo. Where they flirt ...

and kiss ...

and sometimes Niels even stayes the night.

She could have known things were going too good for her. Somehow things in her life always take a turn for the worst when things are finally going good. Anna came by one day to talk to her, it was odd seeing Anna is too busy with everything else in her life, to come by just to talk.

Anna started talknig about Niels, and that she didn't had a good feeling about the guy. They used to be dormmates, and back then he had a girlfriend, and was already seeing others. Anna was pretty sure he hadn't broken up with his girlfriend. She didn't want to hear anything about it, and got angry with Anna, so Anna left.

That was the last she'd seen from Anna, and she hadn't been to the store since the fight. Thinking about it now she still doesn't know why she gotten so mad with Anna. Especially seeing she's been having doubts about Niels herself.

One day when she went to campus to work on an article, she saw Niels with a black haired woman.

On another day, when she was talking a walk in the park, she saw hima again. This time with another woman, and very pregnant woman! She didn't think too much about it at the time. But now, after everything Anna said, it all looks a little bit different.

And yet again, she doesn't know what to do...

Notes:

Again not much gameplay here, with the same reason as before, not so much interesting wants from Samantha. She does want to get engaged to Niels, he has no want in that direction what so ever, so I don't see that happening any time soon!
Niels and all his girls in one update, I don't think that ever happened before. I don't think these kind of things can stay a secret too long, it's not like Niels is hiding them, he's just not telling everything to every one.
Anna is actually the only one who's close to Samantha, despite Niels of course, so she seemed like the only reasonable person to talk to Samantha. She also knows Niels from before, they used to live in the dorms together, so she's seen his behaviour before.
There are only 2 more updates on Samantha, and then there is the one where she leaves SimsVille of course, so not so much time to start any new storylines here. I hope you all like it though!

Birthdays - January 2021

Tina Mishoen really doesn't have a difficult pregnancy, though she doesn't like the fact that she can only fit her training pants, and feels like a balloon.

The thing she hates the most though, is Niels' attitude. He refuses to come to her place, and always wants to meet in a public place or at his dorm.

He talks about a lot, but never asks anything about the baby, and whenever Tina talks about their unborn child, he really doesn't seem interested.

He still is interested in her though, and doesn't pass on an opportunity to show it to her.

Most of the time she just undergoes it, and tries to be happy with what the has, though she would have loved to see it differently.

Robin and Bruce Forman's relationship is quite different from Tina and Niels'. They have experienced this second pregnancy together, as they did with their first. And Robin is really happy to have Bruce around to bring her to the hospital when the time is there.

This little one isn't too eager to come though, and they have to wait several hours, while having slight contractions, before baby number 2 announces its arrival.

Even though Bruce has seen it all before, he's still frightened by the sight of his wife giving birth.

Soon everything is forgotten, when Robin and Bruce can welcome their daughter, Jill Forman.

Even big brother, Nahtan, is happy to be a big brother, even though a little borther would have been better in his opinion.

After several months of bedrest, Catherine is rushed to the hospital as well. Her duedate was February, though her gynecologist had warned her there was a chance the babies would come earlier.

Dirk is a bit lost in all the choas, and is very relieved to see Dr Carette come in.

Their twindaughters, Elisabeth and Margaret, will have to stay in the hospital for some weeks, but are perfectly healthy.

On to the birthdays of this month. SimsVille Up Hill Elementary will have 4 new students this year, though none of the ones attenting at the moment will be leaving this year. First we have Joshua Mishoen.

Anna Min is graduating this year, and is looking forward to running a bookstore. She would love for her boyfriend to propose to her, and even another baby isn't out of the question.

Also gradutating this year is Jason Savage, Jason graduates in mathematics and hopes to find a job in natural science.

Another one graduating this year is Mario Burrie, he is graduating in biology, and despite his degree Mario hopes to start a career as a professional basketbal player. Mario and Jason are renting an appartment together in Simmeria.

The last one graduating this year is Eddy Sels. Eddy now has a degree in psychology, and hopes to use it well and hopes to work in counceling phychology. He lives with his girlfriend, Magda Kievits in downtown Simmeria.

Well my game can be so predictable. As I thought it gave me 3 girls. I'm still hoping Marie and Sya get a boy, and I can't picture Tina with a girls either, though I'm not getting my hopes up. All 3 girls have black hair, wich is kind of normal when you look at their parents.
As said Catherine was due in February, but twins get born too soon most of the time, so I had her give birth this month, to make it look more real.
I just transformed my hospital to a residential lot, and I had lots of fun with the pictures here. It's pretty nice to do it this way. there still is a lot of work to the hospital, but the rooms I use most are done, so there's no rush :)
Four nes students this year in my elementary school, and none in my high school. I've already looked at next year, and again 3 new students for my elementary school, and only one for my high school, and 2 new students at uni. I think Elisa de Leeuw will be a teacher for a littel bit longer.
I like my 4 new kids. Joshua looks a lot like Lewis, and I always liked him. I'm wonder how Michael will be when he turns 4. Charles looks a lot like George, who looks most like his mom, at least in my opion :) Emily is more her mother than her brother, Peter is. Peter looks more like his dad. I wouldn't have mind to see Emily with red hair like her mother. Nathan is cute but I can't point out who he looks like the most :)
I'm aware that my profiles aren't updated yet, I do plan to do it soon, but I need to find the time to do so.

We have Christmas holiday, and Stephan and I try to take the most of it. It's our first year in high school, and it's a lot harder than we expected, so the holiday was much needed. We mostly hang out with some other teens at the newly opened skating rink in SimsVille Up Hill.

We don't go there before noon though, and mostly spend the entire morning in our PJ's on the couch watching cartoons.

Our course parents wouldn't be parents if they just their teens hang out on the couch the entire holiday and just alloew them to do nothing at all. Because of the holidays it's too busy at the shop for dad to handle on his own, so he recruited me and Stephan to help out.

Dad keeps us away from the customers as much as possible. We are mostly 'in charge' of restocking the place, which is practically impossible at the moment. The customers buy way faster than we can restock.

Dad occupies himself with the customers. He aswers all of their questions, and directs them to the things they are looking for.

Restocking all day is kind of boring so both Stephan and I take our chance to interact with the customers when dad is busy. So far there aren't any complaints, so I don't think we're doing a bad job.

One of us occasionally has to handle the cash register, which isn't a gratefull job at all! Remembering all the prices, working with a machine you never worked with before, and doing it fast, so the customers don't have to wait too long ... we're both very happy when dad come to take over!

After all it really wasn't the holiday we were both hoping it would be, but when we get home from work, it still feels like vacation. Mom went a little bit overboard when decorating the house, and it now looks like a Christmas shop.

This year's Christmas Eve, Jo and Jack came by to celebrate with us. It was nice to have Jo in the house again, and Jack really is a lot of fun. Sometimes it's strange to see her sit down with mom and dad and having a civil conversation, when they always used to argue when Jo still lived at home.

Since we had to work this vacation, Stephan and I didn't have the chance to enjoy the snow as much as we planned at the beginning of the holiday. So instead of staying inside, and act all grown up, we went outside to build a snowman.

It didn't take Jo and Jack long before they joined us outside. But instead of building a snowman, Jack started throwing snowballs at Jo.

It was the start of real snowball fight between them. I think we all had as much fun watching them as they had throwing the snowballs at each other.

When we were all inside again, getting warm, mom started preparing dinner; a huge turkey.

It was nice to all sit donw at the dinnertable again, and having a nice meal together. I think we should do this more.

Christmas Day we were all invited at uncle Hans and aunt Yin's house, to celebrate Christmas with the entire family.

With all the boyfriends, and girlfriends, and babies being added to the family, I think this was the last time we were all together in one house, but still it was fun.

Even though Jo and Anna meet up a lot, they still have so much to talk about, and are always together at familygatherings.

Anna brought her oldest son, Alex, and her boyfriend, Bai, entertained the little boy the entire day, while she was catching up with her family.

While the adults were all inside, Stephand, Benny, Melina and I went outside to have, yet another, snowball fight.

You wouldn't tell it by looking at her, but Melina can throw pretty hard!

I think the snowballfight was a littel bit too wild for Sam and David, but they entertained themselfs by building a snowman. Christmas and snow is always fun!

Extra:

The new lot, especially build for this update, because Steven and Stephan are too young to go downtown to Simmeria, to go to the ice rink there. So I build one in SimsVille Up Hill, and only used one picture for the update, so typical me :).

The lot doesn't have a name yet, feel free to give me some ideas :)

Notes:

I have to admit I never used to have my sims keep contact with their family after they moved on their own. I never bothered to do so, but now, after seeing several of Carla's updates, with familymeetings, playdates, keeping contact with parents, siblings, cousins, .... I've got inspired to do so, and I'm pretty sure I will be doing it some more in the future because I like it :)
I loved gathering the entire family at the Mokara's place! But this family is pretty big, especially if Jo and Jack start with children, or if Anna and Bai have more, and later on when all the current teens start bringing dates, and eventually start their own families. So I think Steven is right about this being the last time they are all together, but I loved it so much ... lol!
Putting Stephan at the cash register with all those customers wasn't a very good idea, a lot of them got tired of waiting, dropped their bags, and walked away, so Bram eventually took over. But I do love the shots at the shop, with all those customers.

Birthdays - December 2020

Even though it's not that easy for Marie to walk somewhere, she still is detemined to enjoy this winter as much as she can, since she loves snow.

They live right across the street from the Marina Complex, and she and Sya go there almost everyday. She loves walking around and seeing nature covered in snowblanket.

If it wasn't so cold, she could just sit there for hours, enjoying the company and the scenery.

I love the view of the Marina covered in snow! I love basically every weather on every lot! I have to admit thought that I sometimes get cold when I here the wind when it's snowing in game, lol.
I'm excited to see this baby, as I'm to see every baby, and all those planned births are getting closer! In January we'll meet the firts baby of the babyboom!
Knowing my game I think I will get mostly girls this time. Last births were almost always boys, so It think now it will be girls. This time though I would love for Marie and Sya to get a boy. I know I'm difficult :)

At the beginning of this year we bought the peace of land next to our house to be able to expand the house. To do so we've made an appointment with Mairi Wagtmans to discus what we want.

She came up with some great plans, all according to our wishes. It all looked great, but I was still concerned about what is was going to cost.

Mairi was really great about it all, wich of course is her job, and assured us it would cost something, but the price wasn't over the roof.

So after some months of living on a construction site, which isn't easy with 3 kids walking around the house, we finally had a dustfree house. All the kids now have their own bedroom, and both Marc and Nuan's, and mine and Tika's bedroom were expanded, and even moved.

Despite living on a construction site for almost 6 months, everything else has been going according to plan. Most of us go out of the house to work, but Nuan stays home and looks after the kids.

I'm really impressed by everything she does. She sometimes doesn't have breakfast untill it's almost time for lunch. She keeps assuring us she doesn't mind, and loves taking care of the kids.

She's really looking forward to becomming a grandmother once again. And she already told Marie and Sya that she doesn't mind looking after their children as well.

I can tell Marie has some problems with that, but Nuan keeps telling them that she doesn't mind, and that Marie should look through the clouds and see it as a nice sollution.

Both Tika and I try to spend as much time with our children as we can. When we're home we mostly do everything, this way Nuan gets some time to herself.

I know Tika really wanted a girl, but she wouldn't trade our boys for anything, and we really aren't considering having a 4th child. 3 is more than enough for us.

They are pretty great, and always fun to be with. I like the fact that Lewis is getting more independant. I know I will miss the day he came to us with everything, it's nice to see him grow up.

There are still small things he needs our help with. Or it might just be that he doesn't like doing his homework, and he likes it that Tika sometimes just tels him the answers. Both Tika and I are counting down the days untill Joshua and Michael start school as well, we hardly have any time to ourselfs.

Notes:

The Mishoens were one of my started families, and their house hasn't changed since they moved here, so I thought is was time to rebuild it a little bit. I didn't want them to move to another house, but their house was too small to do any large changes, so I used lotadjuster to enlarge the lot, and build an addition to the house.
The Mishoen boys are such cute toddlers. I'm sad they aren't going to have anymore children, but they already have more than their Ideal Family Size, (both Tika and Xiang's is set to 2), because I really wanted them to have girl, and they are both pretty neat, so they are on birth control. You never know what will happen, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

At this moment, Catherine Penningmeijer isn't too happy being pregnant. She's been put in bedrest by her doctor, and it's hell for the workaholic she is. She's having a hard time not being able to do anything. She's been in charge of preparing the nursery, though she wasn't allowed to actually do anything, and that's finished now.

There really isn't much to do anymore now, and she really is counting down the days untill the babies are born, and she really isn't the only one. This are the first grandchildren to her parents, and her mother has been giving 'advice' non-stop. Dirk and Catherine are just trying to enjoy the pregnancy despite the difficulties at the moment.

Dirk tries to be there as much as he can for his wife, but he's allowed to go to work, so he can't be there all the time. They are still happy with every moment they can spend together though.

Notes:

There really weren't any problems with Catherine's pregnancy, but carrying twins can reslut in having to stay in bed the last couple of months. I thought it added a little bit of realism as well :)
Since Catherine really is a workaholic, that's one the trait I've given her, bedrest is very hard on her. I don't see her staying in the the entire time.
About her babybump, I didn't get her to the 3rd trimester, I tryed several times, but the bump never got bigger...

Both Stella and I weren't looking forward to hiring a nanny when she had to go back to work after Wylco was born. So since Stella's job is much more easier to work from home, she decided to do as much of the work as she could from home.

This way she's able to be with the kids whenever they need her. With Wylco this isn't a problem.

But Sayda now is on an age where she asks more of her parent's attention, which makes it harder for Stella to get some work done.

Enya gives us hardly any problems. She's capable to entertain herself, and she doesn't give us a hard time whenever she has to do.

She also helps around the house, wich isn't something she loves, but she hardly complains about it.

Sometimes she just add to all the crazyness we already have by bringing friends home from school. I sometimes wonder if George's parents wonder how their son looks like, the boy spends almost all of his free time at our house.

But when George isn't over, Enya loves playing with her little sister. I love watching the 2 of them. It's so nice to see that they are getting along as well as they do, but I'm afraid it won't always be like this.

Whenever I'm home I sometimes need to practice for work, so I go to campus, since they have the only dance studio at the moment. Enya ussually asks if she can join me, and she loves spending time there.

Since mom is at home every day, she offered to come and help. I was a little bit hesitant since we never had a great relationship, but finally gave in.

She helps around the house, and is great with the kids. Sayda really adores her grandma. It's strange to see mom so devoted to her grandchildren when she could hardly bring up the time to spend with med when I was little.

It's strange, but I do like it. I prefer for my children to know their grandmother, since they will never know their grandfather. And mom seems to enjoy spending time with them as well.

On my days off, I usually ask Tika to stop by, when she's not at the salon. We are best friends since we were kids, and I would hate it if I didn't get to see her anymore because of lakc of time.

Whenever she comes over she brings her boys with her. We want are kids to be close as well. Sayda, Joshua and Michael love spending time together. I'm sure it will help that Sayda already knows some one when she start school in 2 years.

When Tike and the boys are at our place, Lewis usually gets off the schoolbus with Enya, and they spends the entire afternoon playing together. Enya is such social girl, that she gets along with almost everybody.

Lately I've been trying to meet up with Tina a little bit more. She's pregnant and it seems like she needs some one to talk to.

I usually take her out to diner, so we can talk. It's not like she says a lot about what's going on, and I don't ask too much, but I'm sure she'll tell me if I could do anything.

With everythinh going on, it's hard for Stella and me to find time to spend together. Most of the time the only moments we have are before we go to bed, when all the kids are at sleep.

But even those moments get interupted. There's been a wave of burglaries all around SimsVille and Simmeria. We thought we were safe, having a burglar alarm and all, but we still got a visit.

Thankfully our policeforce is pretty good. They were here pretty fast, and were able to capture the thief. They are thinking it's a well organized gang, but they are on top of it.

Notes:

Almost every family I've played lately has had the visit of a burglar, and every time it's some one else, so I see it as a gang going around the hood.
I don't see Tina as the one to tell everything to her brother, but I do see her as some one to need to spend time with him. After all she has her best friend Laura, who she tells everything.
Fen rolls wants for her grandchildren. So even though she wasn't much of a mother to Nio, I do see her a loving grandmother to all her grandchildren.
I'm thinking about doing some profile-series on some of my sims, like Fen Mishoen, though I'm not completely sure about. Please feel free to give your opinion about this idea!

Grand opening of The Bookcorner

Dear Helen,

How are thing over there in Richmond? How's little Lizzie? I know I haven't written you in like ... ever, but I do miss you, and sometimes wish for you to be here as well.

I've found a great friend here in SimsVille on my first day. Her name is Anna, and even though she's only 21 years old, she has 2 kids already, she's in university and is opening a bookstore at the same time.

I met her on my first day here, and have been helping her with the perparations of the grand opening. I like books, and I've had some practice when I was working the shop in Richmond.

The grand opening of Anna's Bookcorner was last week, and a lot of people showed up. You could just see how Anna's boyfriend was of her with what she had achived, when still being in university.

A lot of people showed up at the opening. I'm working as a writer for the local newspaper as well, and told my boss, Stella Terrano, about the opening, she decided to check it out for herself, and I could see she was really impressed with all the work we had done. As were Anna's parents, Chu and Quan Min.

Anna's stephdaugher was the perfect guinea pig to check out the children's section, and judging by the fact that she was reading the entire time, we both think it was a succes.

Anna had a great time trying to get people to buy the books instead of just looking around, and even though we didn't sell a lot that day, we did sell some books.

Anna's cousin and best friend, Jo Belio, couldn't stop talking about how great everything looked and how much work it must have been, and Anna kept saying she couldn't have done all of this without me.

Even though we had a lot of people coming to the opening, there were only 2 who kind of bugged me. Anna's brother, Benny and his girlfriend, Ellie, kept acting like the couches were there for them only! It's not that I mind, but that really wasn't the point of having a grand opening.

I really was in no position to say anything about it though. Niels, the boy I like, showed up, and we snuck away behind some bookcases.

I know it's not really an "update", but I wanted to include the opening of the bookstore somewhere, since this was Anna and Samantha's project. And since Samantha will be returning to Richmond one day, I thought it would be nice to include Helen here :)
Most sims on the opening were friends and family of Anna. And of course the local newspaper had to be included :) I think there were only 2 or 3 sims in the store who weren't "invited".

Birthdays - October 2020

With the babyboom in SimsVille, things are very busy for gynecologist Ingrid Carette. When she's walking around the hospital you can always see her carrying around a cup of coffee and some patient's charts.

Most of the days her waiting room is already full, and it gives an indication of how her day is going to be. At the moment nobody is due, but there are some even bussier times ahead when all those babies are ready to come.

Most of the patients don't mind the wait, and take the opportunity to talk to others expecting. Today Robin Forman and Tina Mishoen have an oppointment for a check up. Tina take up every oppotunity to learn more about babies, and since the Formans already have child she listens closely to what they have to say.

First up today are the Formans, they didn't want to leave Nathan with a nanny so they brought him with them. Robin and Bruce are expecting their second child, so they already know what's comming.

After a quick check up, Ingrid sits the family down to talk things over once more. In about 3 months they will be welcoming their second child and even though they already gone through it, Ingrids wants to be sure the family is well prepared.

Next up is Tina, she brought her best friend Laura, since her broyfriend Niels isn't much of a support. Tina and Laura have a lot of questions, but Ingrid does her best to comfort them, and assures them the baby is doing fine.

Tina is happy to hear that, and hearing the baby's heartbeat for the first time makes her looking forward to becoming a mother. It's the first time she feels that way since she found out she's expecting.

When the appointments are over, Ingrid still has a lot of paperwork to get through.

Most nights she isn't home before dark, but most of the time Oscar is still awake to welcome his mommy home.

Extra:

I had fun watching Oscar in his bouncing chair! The last 2 babies I put in there were Alex and Carl Zang, and they both hated it. It was a joy to watch Oscar have fun in it, so I went a little overboard with the pictures.

Notes:

Baby Forman is due in January 2021, he or she will be the firs in a long list of births. As I said before, I'm really looking forward to all of these babies, but for now all the birthday updates are pregnancy updates, and I really want to meet those babies! Lol!
I don't really mind of the Formans get a boy or a girl. Either would be great; a little brother for Nathan to play with, or a little sister to wacht over when she's growing up, as long as he or she is as cute as Nathan it's fine by me.
When I summoned Tina to the hospital and made her selectable she rolled the want to have a baby. Personally I think it's odd, since she's a romance sim, but I'm happy with it :)
Tina's due in April 2021. Again here I don't mind if she gets a boy or a girl, as long as April 2021 gets here soon :)

Sinca Jason's sister, Mia, died last year, he hasn't been quite hisself, which is kind of understandable. He goes out a lot.

And I just know he flirts with a lot of women when he's hout, he's just like that. I don't want to pressure him though, so I just let him.

Whenever he's out, I spend all my time with Lucas. He really loves to be read to. He's our only child so we tend to give him whatever he wants.

I don't like the fact that I have to go to bed alone, when Jason's out.

I'm more than happy when he crawls back into bed at night.

Jason has been talking about opening a business, and after a nice bonus at work, and some talking it over, we agreed on taking out a small loan. He bought a business on campus, calles 'Cup of Cake'.

It looks great, but there is no kichten, and I he wants that, so there is still some work to do. He's planning serving cake and coffee.

Jason isn't the only one having a hard time with Mia's death. Olaf, Mia's husband doesn't have it easy as well. He's working full time again, but has 3 kids to take care of. We sometimes take the load off his shoulders and ask him to bring the kids over. Morgana and Zenzi always love these kind of play dates.

And I'm pretty sure the girls aren't the only ones enjoying the visits. I think it's good for both Jason and Olaf to talk to some one about everything.

I myself love thos family dinners. They are quite hectic, but it's nice to have so much noise around the table.

When I see Lucas play with little Anthony, and see how much fun he has with the little guy, it sometimes makes me wonder if he misses a brother or a sister.

But then again, he loves to have all his parent's attention. And the days he can spend with his dad he just blooms open. Jason always does the fun stuff with Lucas, like make pannecakes for breakfast.

Eating out, at a not so fancy 'diner'. I'm glad they get along so well, but there a some things I'd wish he didn't do, like buying game.

On the other hand it's not like Lucas is a difficult kid, he does his homework every day, without complaining, and seems to even enjoy it. So why not spoil him.

He, of course, also does things like any other kid, like any other parent would also wish he didn't.

Don't you just love it when your sims act like the children we all are inside?

I just love this pictue of Olaf and Zenzi, they did this autonomously. Anthony isn't to impressed though, he just wants his dad's attention.

Notes:

The relationship between Ada and Jason is practically the same as last round. They hardly roll any wants for each other, but, and this is very strange for Jason, they don't roll any wants for any one else. They also do a lot of autonomous kissing and woohooing, so I'll just going to keep them together.
Ada's ideal family size is 4, but she doesn't roll any wants for another child. Jason's 1, so I don't expect him to want another one. They're not allowed birth control, but they don't try for a baby and they don't get any accidents, so I don' think there will be any more children for them.
Cup of Cake is a lot I build a while ago, but never knew who would buy it. Jason seems to be good for the job. As said, it will sell coffee, and Jason will serve different cakes as well.

University is kind of what I expected it to be, hard but worth it. A thing I don't like about univerity though, is that I don't get to spend as much time with Margot as I used to be.

Margot really is a busy bee, and she wants to do good in everything she does, preferably be the best in everything she does.

She's always busy doing something for school, writing her term paper, study her skills, and sometimes she even does extra tasks, just to get a better grade.

She's all school most of the time, but thankfully not all of the time. When mom and dad call to tell us they are coming down to Simmeria she never fusses about it, and immidiatly makes time to go out.

I love to go shopping with mom, sometimes I even get her to buy me something.

Margot likes shopping, but if she gets the chance she'd rather talk to dad, about almost everything.

Mom and dad almost always takes us out to have lunch or dinner, and I just love that. Lars used to come as well, but he thinks he's much too old to always come down to university with his parents to visit his older sisters.

I do work for school as well. Next year will be my first year I will be teaching. I will be a stundent teacher then, and I'm very much looking forward to it. Magda has already been teaching, and next year we will both be teaching high school, so we try to meet and talk things over as much as we can.

I like talking to Magda, not only about what next year will be like, but also about her expiriences from last year. She tells me things I could never learn in a classroom.

As I said Margot isn't all about school all the time. She's dating one of our dormmates, Jason, and they have been together for about a year now I think, and they seem pretty happy together.

Jason even sometimes spends the night in her bedroom, which is the most practical since Jason has a roommate.

Since last year, Mario and I have been seeing each other more frequently, and I really love spending time with him, he's such a great guy.

It's not serious, at least not at the moment. Mario is in his final year, and wants to focus on his studies, wich is pushing me to do the same. We agreed to not start anything serious at the moment, and see where things will head once he graduated.

There's still nobody who really gets Niels. He's hardly working but he's flirting a lot with a lot of women. We see different women pass here, and hear even different names when he's on the phone.

I know he has a girlfriend, but he hasn't talked about her a lot lately. He's mostly focussing on one of our dormmates, and she seems to like the attention.

The girlfriend does come by occasionally, even when Niels isn't here. She just sits there, and waits for him, sometimes for hours, without Niels ever showing up.

We've heard loud voices coming from his room sometimes, and whenever she's over, Niels' roommate avoids their room, because they always seem to be fighting.

But she keeps coming back, and he keeps calling her, and when she comes over and they aren't fighting, you can always find them with their arms around each other. So like I said, there's really nobody who gets Niels.

Notes:

I know that all of my current students are playable NPC's, there's only one who isn't, but she's not living on campus at the moment, and that is Anna Min. I still still wanted you to keep up to date of what's happening with them.
Next round there will hopefully be 5 new students. If all goes well, Melina Mokara and Matthew Zanobi will be going to university in 2022, and Benny Min, Eleanora Roque and Lars Mertens will be joining them in 2023.
It might be time for Belinda, Niels' girl at university, to become a playable NPC. She's been sleeping with Niels for some years now, and she's still a dormie, but I already have so many playable NPC's. So I'm going to let you decide! You can find the poll in the sidebar!

Birthdays - September 2020

The first months of pregnancy were kind of hard on Marie, and she was really happy she had Sya around the help her through.

Now it's all better, and they both can finally start enjoying the prospect of becoming parents. They both are actually counting down the months.

There still is a lot to arrange, but when you really want something, it's always fun to arrange those things, so they're sure they'll manage.

Notes:

Marie was really sick at beginning of this pregnancy, but it's all better now, so she can really enojying being pregnant.
I'm really looking foward to this baby, I would love a red head, since I already have too many black haired sims walking around in SimsVille, but seeing Marcus's parent's both had black hair I'm not getting my hopes up.
I really have to say, I'm really LOVING the fact that I can actually play my sims again, every free moment I have is spent with sims, not that it was any different before, but it's always a different feeling when you weren't able to play for a while :)

I know it's not nice to say, but sometimes I so glad to have a job outside the house. When mom's working around the house, I get tired just looking at her.

I don't know how she does it, but she manages to keep the house clean without any help.

She even manages to keep the garden clean!

And when the garden and the house are all in order, she goes fishing, and even makes plates to sell at the shop.

Dad tried talking her into hiring some one, at least for the garden, just to take some load off her hands, but mom doesn't want to hear about that. She says dad doesn't hire some one to help him in the greenhouse as well, but Reinout is there every day.

As much as I like going out the house to work, I hare leaving as well. Everybody gets to spend a lot of time with Brain, mom looks after him on top of all her work, and keeps telling me she wouldn't want it any other way.

I'm pretty jealous of every one who can spend time with Brain, especially seeing that when I'm home I still have a lot of work to do.

The moments I can spend with Brain, are so rare, that they are very precious to me.

He's such a great little boy, always so happy. Every one loves spending time with him. Sometimes I'm even amazed that Reinout and I created this little wonder.

Although I think the cats wouldn't mind a little bit less love.

Even though Annie and I don't have much time, we try to meet every weekend, most of the time we take the boys to the park.

Sometimes we ask Sya and Catherine to come along. We hardly ever have time to catch up, so we take advantage of every moment we have.

In a few months time things will be even harder to meet, since Sya and Marie are expecting their first child, and Catherine is expecting twins! Even Annie is talking about having another child soon.

Reinout and I have been talking about more children as well, be we decided to wait. Brain wasn't planned at all, but now that he's here we want to enjoy every moment with him, and enjoy each other now that we still can.

Extra:

I know you didn't get to see Reinout in this update, but he was there! He's mostly working in the greenhouse, and when he's not he's spending time with little Brian.

Notes:

I thought I hired a gardner some time ago, but apparently I didn't. It seems like Debby has everything under control, but I'm still thinking about letting them hire some one.
I know, you haven't seen their shop since I did a rebuild last year, I was planning on letting them create a nice stock before opening, but that seems to be taking up a lot of time.
Both Annie and Erik rolled the want to have another baby, so I think I will let them next time I play them, despite the number of babies planned. Reinout and Abby on the other hand haven't rolled the want just yet, but they haven't rolled the want to get engaged/married either. Anyway, by the time I play them again, Brian will almost start school, so I will take Abby off birth control, and see where it goes from there. Since they both have their ideal family size set to 3, I'm sure we'll see some more children of them.
Abby, Annie, Sya and Catherine all went to university together, this was when I didn't look at ages, but just sent my sims at the end of each round, that's why they don't have the same age. But they are still friends now, and I like the fact that they all have kids around the same time, the largest age difference would be around 2 years, and I like that their kids will be able to play together when growing up.
I've put the 'coming up'-section back, and I'm hoping I can keep it up like that.

Jaser - de Leeuw Wedding

Blue Stone Marina Complex - Simmeria

Since mom and Berend don't have a house anymore here, they had to stay with is before the wedding. I didn't want Harald to have to stay in a hotel the night before the wedding, so we desided to step away from tradition, and just spend the night together.

We had some drinks with mom and Berend, and actually went to bed way too late, especially since we had a wedding the next day.

The morning of the wedding, we got up but that was the last time I saw Harald before exchaning our vows.

I had some work getting myself ready, so it was a good thing I didn't have to worry about getting Harald ready.

I kept chekcing myself, and changing things last minute. Mom had to come in to my room every 5 minutes to give advice. I was so happy to have her with me that day.

Finally is was time to head down to the marina complex and stand in front of our friends and family and become husband and wife.

After exchanging our vows...

... we were ready to meet our family and friends as Mr. and Mrs. de Leeuw.

Later that night, after all of the pictures were taken, we headed down to the restaurant of the marina complex, where there was a buffet ready for all the guests to enjoy.

It was nice to see everybody together, every one talking to one another.

The meal was sealed with a really nice chocolate cake.

A party is always a nice way to catch up with friends you haven't talked to in a while...

... or family you were never that close with, and this wedding wasn't an exeption for us. We tried talking to everybody.

The next day we were ready to head to Twikii Island, and enjoy some days of peace and quiet, just the 2 of us.

Unfortunatly the weather wasn't to great when we arrived, but we immidiatly booked an excusion, and still had a great time.

And well, newlyweds always find a way to keep themselfs busy.

Thankfully the weather cleared out, and we were able to enjoy the beach at our hotel.

Harald kept looking for places in the shadow, but I really wanted to get tanned.

When I got sunburned, I wished I would have done the same as Harald.

Every night was a kind of a celebration, and we went out for dinner every night.

The morning we had to check out, we stayed in bed as long as we could.

It was with pain in our hearts we left Twikii Island.

Elisa and her sister, Mairi Wagtmans, there is a pretty large age difference between the 2 of them. Mairi was already in college when Elisa was born. They're not very close, but this picture just couldn't be left out.

Notes:

I had a really hard time deciding on a venue for this wedding, and didn't decide it untill the almost very last minute, but I really love how it turned out. Some time ago I redid the Blue Stone Marina Complex, and added even more blue to it, and since blue is Elisa's favorite color, it seemed like good place for them to get married.
Twikii Island is still Twikii Island in my game, I really want to change the name, but I haven't come up with one I like yet :)
I'm currently working on redoing most of the vacation lots Maxis has put in. The hotel Harald and Elisa stayed in the most expensive on the island, but I didn't like the look of it so I redid it :)
I can hardly believe it myself, but Harald and Elisa came back from their honeymoon without Elisa being knocked up!! I know she's on birth control, but that's no guarantee with my sims. I think I'll take her off next time I play them, but I'm not sure yet, I have plenty of new sims coming up :)
I'm able to play my game, but I'm pretty sure there is still something wrong with it.I still have crashes when I change from my main hood to my downtown, but not always, and not as frequently as before, so I will continue playing, since I've missed it too much!

As expected, the bookstore has been put on hold ever since Anna gave birth to her second child. She didn't mind that much, it's summer so she could enjoy the beautifull weather. She did try to stop by at Anna's occasionally.

She sometimes couldn't understand how the quiet and calm Anna could survive in this hectis household. There were just too many people to just sit down and relax. Not that she minded she loved having people around and could relax almost everywhere, but she just couldn't see Anna like that. She always had fun watching the kids together.

She sometimes wondered what had gone wrong with her life, after all she was 25 now, and there still wasn't some one special in her life. Sure there have been guys, and she did love them, but somehow they almost allways were "wrong" for her. She didn't like to think about these kind of things since she was happy with her life. She loved seeing the world, meeting new people, being able to do all kind of different things, but still things she loved.

With the bookstore on hold at the moment, she was able to put some more energy in her work at the newspaper, and Stella was really happy with her work. Stella felt more comfortable giving her some first-page articles as well, and she was feeling pretty succesfull at the moment.

Since she was getting more importand pieces at the newspaper, the pay was gettting better as well. Even to the point where she started thinking of looking for a place of her own. It didn't have to be big, just somewhere she could live, and write. At the moment she always had to go down to campus, where there was an "internetcafe", to write her stories, and with all the students walking around it sometimes was hard to concentrate.

One day she even got the nerve to talk to him, and before she knew it, they talked for hours. It was like meeting Anna on the day she arrived, like they had known each for years. He was good company, and she had a good time.

They started going out several times a week. She felt really comfortable with him, and always had fun.

The few times she was in the Bookcorner, Niels even came by to help. He was becoming a really good friend, some one she could talk to about everything, now that Anna was busy with her kids and school. She never though more of it.

Untill he kissed her, and everything suddenly was different.

Notes:

Well, finally, a real update! You guys have been waiting for it long enough! I'm not completely back on shedule so the 'coming up'-section is still on hold, I hope to change that soon, but well' just see for now, with some luck, you'll get Elisa and Harald's wedding later this week.
On to the update now. I have to admit, it's not completely gameplay here, or playing with Samantha's wants. I don't know why, but my sims never seem to roll any interesting wants, even if the sims aren't mine! And I coulldn't keep writing about her work in the bookstore or for the newspaper.
Niels seems like the kind of guy to do this kind of things, and since campus is the only place at the moment with 'public computers' it was kind of logical for him to show up there.
They only have 1 bolt, but such thing isn't something to hold Niels down. I'm 100% sure Niels isn't the right guy for Samantha, he has a girlfriend, and she got pregnant, but he's not looking for any comitment, read more here. Samantha doesn't know he has a girlfriend, so I figured she would be happy with the attention from a guy, who she thinks is free.
I know my profiles aren't really up to date anymore, I was planning on redoing all of the pictures, and adding some more information on my sims when my game started acting up, so it was put on hold. I will be doing it soon, but I have no idea when. At the moment I'm just looking forward to playing my sims :)

Still not a real update ... but it might be worth reading anyway :)

I'm still not ready to post some real updates, but I can share some good news with you; I was able to fix my hood!! I'm so happy with this, since I really didn't want to rebuild, and it was taking so much time.

For the next update I still need to finish building some lots, and I don't have any pictures yet, and since I won't be having any time this weekend, I'm afraid the update won't be up untill late next week.

In the mean time I have some picture I can share with you all.
I've been working on my university (SimsVille University - SVU) a lot. There are over 4 or even 5 new lot, and I still have a lot of work to do.
The new lost are: SVU library, SVU Faculty of Science, Landgraab Hall, SVU Faculty of Preforming Arts.
I'm also in the proces of building some more, like a dance studio, a music hall, student central, ....

I have pictures of some of the buildings, some lot tours and I even a lot you can download.
So let's start!
I wish I could show you a hood view, but Simmeria is, yet again, undergoing a transformation, and I don't have any good pitcures yet.

This is the Faculty of Preforming Arts. (I'm sorry of I use 'preforming wrong - please correct me if I'm!)

I have to say I like the look of this building a lot! The inside is focused on painting, fashion design and crafting pots.
I don't have any pictures of the inside yet, since I'm still not completely finished.

Next we have SVU Library.

In my game the Landgraabs are a wealthy family, Max is owner of Landgraab Architects, where Mairi Wagtmans and Abby Gradonni work, and his wife Helène is a fashion designer who owns several small H&M's (Helène and Max), in SimsVille, Simmeria and DimSimTown, she also has a fashion studio where Mariëtte Alenis works. They have one son, and I figure they would want him to go the best dorm they could get him. And which dorm is better than the one you design yourself?

I'm sorry, but it's not a real update

I just want to let you all know that there won't be any updates for, what I hope will be a short time.

I've been experienceing some major problems with my hood. It keeps crashing. Even the back up, that works, start crashing after a period of time, so there really is no playing possible at the moment.
I've been working on fixing the problem, but nothing seems to be working, so I'm thinking SimsVille is broken.
However I can't give up SimsVille. I've put a lot of time in it the last couple of years, and I can't think about starting all over again! So instead I'm going to try to recreate SimsVille, with the same sims and houses. At the moment I'm gathering all the information I need to recreate.
Unfortunatly this is going to take some time, but at the moment I have another week off from work, and I hope the have most of 'the move' done by the end of that week, so I can start updating normally again!

In the mean time I wish you all happy simmingdays :)

Birthdays - August 2020

Catherine Penninkmeijer likes to be well prepared for the arrival of her twins in February, and who's better to advice her in babythings than her mother, who herself raised 6 children.

She still isn't completely sure about the choice though and asks the shopowner for some advice.

With the advice of the owner in her head, she takes another looks at the pram, and eventually decides on buying it. With every purchase she feels a little bit more ready, even though the thought of having twins really scares her.

Only 2 months ago Anna and Bai celebrated the 1st birthday of their son Alex, and now Anna finds herself going trough childbirth all over again.

With Bai at work she's lucky her father-in-law, Wang, is at home to take her to the hospital. While Chao stays home to look after Alex.

A few days later Bai is more than happy to take his girlfriend, and newborn son home, so they can be a family together.

Litte Carl Zang fits well in the family, and as with Alex, every one adores him and is more than happy to be helping out.

Notes:

I know you can't really see Catherine's bump very well, but I can asure you it's there, as with Catherine's mother, Bianca, she was definatly in the store, but she walked away when I wanted to take pics, so I left her out instead of trying to get her back to the right spot!
I'm sorry for the stupid cheerleader in the shot of Anna! She was there, in front of the camera when I wanted to take the picture. I couldn't wait untill she moved because then I would have lost the shot of Anna in labor and Wang running down the stairs.
So another boy, Carl. It kind of makes sence since in game Carl was born before Tessa, since I couln't wait any longer. As much as I wanted a girl here, I don't mind it's a boy. I wouldn't be as happy if Tessa were a boy if it gave me a girl here, if this sentence makes any sence.
I put Anna immidiatly on birth control after giving brith. As much as I like Alex, and I'm sure I will like Carl as well, I don't want the to have any more accidents because silly me forgot birth control!

Last month Niels and I had enough of our lives here, and decided to go away for a few days, before Niels' finals started, just the 2 of us and the beach.

We stayed in a bungalow right on the beach, and to be honest we didn't do much. We played in the sand like little kids, and frankly just had fun.

I got back with a nice tan, and poor Niels ended up with a severe sunburn.

We didn't stay at the bungalow all the time though, and went out to see a little bit of the island, which was beautifull.

The last night there was a campfire on the beach, and we were joined by some of the other visitors. It was a nice ending of the vacation, although we both thought it would have been nice if we could have stayed longer.

Bakc at home mom and dad had done some redecorating. After years of thinking about it, mom finally decided to sell the gym, so they had money for the redecorations.

The whole house seems so very different, I could hardly reconise it! But it looks so nice, and mom and dad look so happy with the changes.

Mom has been trying to reconnect with Nio and his family. Both Nio and Stella have their hands full at the moment with work, and their 3 children, but they try to bring Enya over as much as possible.

I love those days when Enya comes over! She such a joy to have around, always happy, and so active, sometimes too active!

When dad comes home from work she always talks his ears off. You can see from his face at those moments, that he really has no idea what to do with her, or what to say. It's hilarious.

She doesn't stay night. Usually Nio or Stella come to pick her up after dinner. They always say she's so tired that she goes straight to bed when they get home.

Since my best friend, Laura, turned 18 we have been spending more time together. I've missed her in the year she had to go to school and I was working night shifts.

I haven't been feeling too well lately, and I had to talk to somebody about it. I was feeling quite sick in the morning, but felt better during the day. I knew what it was, and I even did the test, but it's hard to accept that I will be having a baby.

I know Niels isn't going to stand up, and do the right thing. I know he's not going to dump me, but he doesn't want to be family at the moment. I know for sure that Laura will be there for me.

I of course had to tell Niels, and it all went as I thought it would be. He wouldn't believe it, and started an agrument in the middle of 'The Hype', where we agreed to meet. I just turned my back.

Afterwards he came to talk to me. Again he said what I was expecting him to say. He will be there for me, but he can't be a family at this moment, he's not ready, as if I am ready!

To top things off, I got into a huge argument with dad. He said he's getting tired of me just slacking around, and not doing anything with my life, like he's one to talk! And I hadn't even told him about the pregnancy yet!

I know mom tried to talk to him. Make him realise that he wasn't reasonable. But it was too late, at least for me. At the moment I don't even know if I can talk to dad.

I called Laura, and we started looking for a house or apartment we could rent together. She and her sister were already looking for a place to live, and are willing to let me live with them.

Notes:

Goofy rolled this round's first ROS: Completely silly fight (highest relationship), so I had him pick a fight with Tina, it all comes together with his midlife-crisis I decided he's in at the moment. There really was no reason, Tina has a job, and helps around the house. I see Tina as somewhat independent, and moving out would have happend eventually.
Niels really isn't the paternal type, at least not at the moment. I have completely different plans with him. He's not a mean guy, but I see him as one who looks after himself, and always puts himeself first.
Tina on the other is very nice, and not selfish at all. She will never force Niels to be a family with her and the baby, because she knows he's not ready, and it will only end bad if she does. It doens't mind that she's not ready either.
I did some adjustments to a house I have Simmeria, and made it into a 4 bedroom, rental home with a nice garden, and moved Tina, Laura and Gabriëlle in. We'll see them again in 2021.
My sims are really rabbits at this moment! I'm only halfway the first year this round, I've had 2 births, and there are 7 planned at the moment! I wonder what the rest of this round is going to give me. Sometimes I'm even afraid to start playing a next family.

Robin and Bruce have been trying to have another baby for some time now, and some months ago they finally got confirmation they were succesfull. Little Nathan, who will be 4 next year, will be a big brother in January 2021.

Tosca Zang already has 3 children, but really wanted another one, well she wants more than just another one, but she'll just see what the future will bring her. She goes into labor when Xun is at work. Luckily her parents-in-law are at home to bring her to the hospital.

The kids have been brought to the hospital to meet their new little sister, but bringing the baby home still is exciting. Nora can't get enough of her little sister.

She's not the only one though. Both grandparents are thrilled to have another grandchild, and Tessa Zang will be covered in their attention!

Notes:

For those of you not knowing, Robin and Bruce are one of my playable NPC's. They both have had the want for another child for quite some time, and I finally decided to let them have one. Nathan will start school in January, when the new baby will be arriving.
Yay! Finally a girl!! Knowing my game I will now get nothing but girls! But I'm going to enjoy this moment for the time being!
Little Tessa has a darker skintone than both her parents, brother, sisters and grandparents. It didn't seem logical, so I adjusted her skintone to be lighter.

This last year has been a little bit more relaxed for me. I've had student teacher helping out at school. And Magda really is great.

She's very relaxed and calm around the kids, and the kids really like her. I've given her the responsibily of the younger kids, and it seems like it was the right decision.

For the older kids I still have Elisa helping me out. She started here some years ago with the idea of it only being temporarly, but she's still here, and I love her for that.

Having 2 teachers looking after 2 classes, has given me a lot more time to do the administration. I still need to follow Magda's classes, but not all the time, and with the pregnancy is doing the administration great!

Because it's the end of the schoolyear, we decided to take the kids out on a field trip to Simmeria Rock Aquarium. Yet again I was lucky to have 2 teachers standing by me, because taking 18 kids out wouldn't have been possible on my own.

Elisa took her class to the "movie room" where they were treated with a move about oceanic life. Not everybody was a interested, and some even talked during the entire movie.

They were however very interested in the large fishtanks, and couldn't get enough of looking at all the fish.

Magda had done a lot of resaerch before going to the aquarium, she even did some visits before, to prepare herself. The kids couldn't get enough of what she was telling them, and asked a lot of questions afterwards, I think there are some future oceanographers after her stories.

They were all sad that we had to go home at the end of the day. We had to walk around the aquarium several times to make sure they were all on the bus, because some were hiding so they could stay.

The last days of the schoolyear were spend on the playground. There were no classes anymore, and the weather was really great.

I had meetings with the parents, to discuss the results of their children. So while I was stuck inside Elisa and Magda played outside with the children.

Some of the enjoyed the attention they were getting from their teachers, while others prefered playing on their own.

Notes:

I don't know how it is in other parts of the world, but in Belgium summer vacation starts the 1st of July and school starts again on the 1st of September. The last days of school are mostly filled with fun things :)
Magda will eventually become a teacher here, at SimsVille Up Hill Elementary School. I see her as one who gets along better with smaller children.
I have to say it mayself, but I loved the field trip to Rock Aquariu. But I love my aquarium, so I love it when I can let my sims visit it :)

With the last month of school going on, I have found myself really looking forward to the summer holiday. The weather has been great, and I'm really enjoying is.

Sya on the other hand is wishing it would rain,so I stop nagging her about leaving the computer and coming outside with me. She already has her doctorate, but is determind to keep up with everything, and this means checking facts every day.

She doesn't spend all her time at the computer though, there are moment I can pull her away from it, and I really cherish those moments.

She also calls her parents every other day, to not miss out on anything er nephews are doing, and this that are going on at home. Her mother keeps asking her when we are going to have children, and Sya always keeps very vague about it.

We have been talking about it, and even decided to go for it. We are not getting any younger, and since I want to be pregnant, and not just adopt, we can't wait too long since some hospitals don't do IVF treatments when the woman is too old.

We have been playing with the idea of an anonymous donor, but eventually decided to first ask Sya's best friend, Marcus. I know he's not family by blood, but he sometimes feels like a brother.

He promised us to think about it, and let us know as soon as possible. I was happy he didn't say no immidiatly.

He's a great guy though, and a few days later we were all sitting in the hospital to get the treatment started.

Even thought it must have been a awkward for Dr. Carette, and Marcus, since they used to live together, I was very happy with Dr.Carette. She was just great.

We never though we would be succesfull the first time, not even the 1st 6 months. We've read about couples trying it for years, but I had been sick for a couple of mornings, and we did a test, and it was positive. I think both Sya and I still can't believe it, we haven't told anyone yet!

Notes:

Again this couple didn't roll the want for a baby, but it was time, at least I thought it was :)
I had set the same chances for Marie to get pregnant as Carla did with Rose. I set it to 25%, and rolled the dice, and it rolled they were succesfull, so this is a very succesful couple!
Marie is due for March 2021.
I had been thiking of letting them ask Nio to be the donor, since he's Sya's only male cousin. But she really doesn't have good relationship with him. Tika and Nio are best friends, but I don't think Sya and Nio are even friends. So Marcus was a much more logical option.

Birthdays - June 2020

Catherine has been feeling kind of sick lately. Well not really sick, not throwing up or anything, but just not herself.

The feeling is the strongest in the morning, it's kind of anoying, because sometimes it feels like she can't go to work, and she has do admit to herself that she is a workaholic.

Her dad sugests going to the hospital and getting a full check up, at least then she would know what is wrong.

Walking around the hospital, she already has an idea of what might be "wrong" with her. She doesn't say anything to Dirk just yet, she doesn't want to get his hopes up. They have been talking about kids, and having some of their own, they even stopped birth control, but she never thought they would be succesfull this fast.

Dr. Xiang Mishoen does a full body check up, and asks her about everything she has been feeling lately.

After the examination, Dr. Mishoen tell them the news Catherine was already expecting.Dirk is very suprised by the news that they were succesfull this fast, but is very much looking forward to becoming a dad.

There was some news though where they both needed to recover from; Dr. Mishoen was very possitive that he heard 2 heartbeats, and not just one. So they are expecting twins.

Both Catherine and Dirk are a little bit unsure about becoming parents to 2 kids at the same time, and still need time to adjust to the idea.

Over in Simmeria, little Alex Zang is celebrating his first birthday. His parents will have their hands full when his little brother or sister arrives in a couple of months.

Notes:

For some strange reason my sims hardly ever roll the want to have a baby when I don't move them to another house, after their marriage. So since Catherine are already in their 30's I thought it was time to take them off birth control and see what would happen, and they were succesfull as you can see, a little bit too succesfull. Anyway Catherine is due in February 2021.
Alex is just a cutie, and a such a great mix of both his parents, Anna and Bai. Both have brown eyes and black hair, so there's no looking where he got those from. I think the shape of his face is like his father's, but there's definatly some of his mother in the little one as well :)

Benny has been really busy with scholarships lately. He goes running every day after school to be able to qualify for a sportscholarship.

And when the weather doesn't allow him to go running, he stays in and works out as much as he can. He still has 3 years before he's off to college, but he doesn't want to wast a moment.

Quan has gotten him a dump of a car. It was supposed to be something for them to work on together, but Quan is a disaster when it comes to technique, so when he's working on it, Benny stays as far away as possible.

It's understandle, the work goes much faster and with far less explosions and smoke when Benny works on it alone.

He does take some time off schoolwork. I chought him with a girl in the front yard the other night. I don't understand why he didn't bring her in. We've know Ellie for some years now. I have no idea what's going on between the 2 of them, but he calls her on the phone quite a lot as well.

With spring being here, Quan and I try to enjoy our garden as much as we can. It's not a large one, but it's nice and quiet and really enjoyable.

When Anna drops by with our grandson, Alex, we take them outside as well. I love that little guy so much, and I kind of hate it that we don't get to see him much more.

I know Quan feels the same way. He can't get enough of the little guy. We play with him as much as we can whenever Anna's over.

Alex was huge surprise, but when Anna told us she was expecting again, we were really stunned! We now had time to get used to the idea, and even though we're still not thrilled about it, we are looking forward to this new grandchild.

In 2 years there will be elections, and I have been playing with the idea of running for governor, but I still have my doubts. I'm sure I will have really strong opponents, and it kind of scares me off.

Quan told me I should do it, but if I didn't he would support me even so. He's the best husband I could ever have, and I love him for this.

Notes:

The idea of elections has been in my head for quite some time now, so I finally decided to put it through. I have no idea who will be running for governor at the moment, but Chu is a kind of a good candidate for it.
Benny will most definatly go to college, the guy already has 3 scholarships, and is only 1 point away from getting a 4th one.
I have no idea how long Benny and Ellie will last. They are officially a couple now, but he doesn't roll wants for Ellie, and she doesn't roll a lot. I'll see where they are heading once they are at college.
